This is absolutely my favorite scene out of the whole movie. I love Buttercup's speech. It was so strong and sure. I have accounted it to memory because I love it so much.
My wife loves Buttercup's speech...and we both quote the line "I would not say such things if I were you!" (Of course, "as you wish" is the most quoted line...lol)!
I found it so confusing he took his frustration out on Westley since he only wanted to use Buttercup to start a war. Wonder if deep inside he didn't actually care for her a little bit
@@user-pi3hd2bt3f I think the reason he used Buttercup for his ploy was because he didn't believe a thing like true love existed for anyone, so he had no hope of it existing for him. But then to be confronted with its existence, and the knowledge that he could never achieve it, sent him into a bitter rage.
i kept thinking about this line but i had no idea where it came from or who said it so i googled it word for word. first result was this video. Isn't the internet amazing?
