I wouldn't use Minecraft's newest weapon (yet) 

currently being torn apart by rabid wolves, but i cant stop that zaroshii grind

A bit of a correction; You don't need a fall where you'd take fall damage, any fall higher then a normal jump will multiply the damage, with a 2 block fall (jumping off a single block) being enough to one shot most basic mobs; creeper, zombies, skeletons, and animals(I'm pretty sure either that or a 3 block fall)

as someone who doesnt optimize enchantments and just does whatever, the mace was basically made for me. Cant wait to market garden some zombies

I agree that the mace def could use some enchants (and probably a new texture too) but I think the way it synergizes with the wind charges is fun, using them to launch yourself up on the fly.

Honestly HEAVILY disagree with the mending part, unbreaking or unique enchants yeah but a BIG no no to mending. It's already extremely powerful and even if they do nerf or buff it (i mean it can literally one shot a FULL netherite armor from 12!! BLOCKS) so yeah and one of the devs pretty much comfirmed mending can't be with mace ibxtoycat's livestream and that's a GOOD thing the mace all things considered is in a pretty fine line of being a little OP becs with a single wind charge you can ONE shot a creeper,zombie, skeleton not even netherite axe with sharpness V can do that, in fact you can even do it with a jump boost potion and that's a really powerful and useful weapon to use so its not useless. at all

One thing I really hope they do is create a 3D model. It just seems too flat for mace. Also, I think the reason it can’t be enchanted is because a new enchantment like for other recent new weapons (quick charge, riptide, impaling etc) is being developed. Hopefully we’ll see it in the next few snapshots.

I like to imagine an enchantment for the mace that can for a brief moment, disable player tools and weapons when hit by a slam attack. Maybe it could be somewhere around 0.5 seconds to 1 second? This could also be done by right clicking, holding, and releasing.

the mace works really well in conjunction with the wind charge, for reasons I'm sure i don't need to say.

Breezes should also sometimes spawn on mountains I think that would be pretty cool

i would fly up hundreds of blocks using an elytra and one shot anything, you could do this in like an Smp fight

Imho this video is a bit critical about the mace especially since it was only out for a SINGLE DAY, would've been quite a bit worse if there also wasn't acknoledgement about it being out for such a short time.

They should add some enchantments for the mace. I think one called Smash which can go up to Smash III and it makes mobs around the mob you hit take damage based on how far they are from the one you hit. Smash and sharpness can also not simultaneously be on a mace. Also enchantments like mending, knock back and others should be able to go on it.

i wonder if they plan it as an weapon against a wave of enemies since it can hit multiple mobs maybe with enchantments to increase aoe range maybe faster fall speed maybe more "weight" or an ability to shoot breezes wave to push enemies away since they also mentioned its good at keeping people away

I have an Idea for the Mace. What if the Mace gave you a double jump well using it. Like say for example if you want get as much damage as possible from fighting someone, then you could jump off something (like an high place) and the at the same time, you could activate the mace's second ability to increase your jump bye a little bit. Giving you a double jump to get as much damage in on someone as possible in a PVP scenario.

the enchantments thing is definitely a bug lmao there isn't a line in the change logs that says "maces cannot be enchanted" or something like that, and you can't even put curse of vanishing on it (which should work on every tool in the game) it just makes more sense if its a bug or not implemented yet

2 things 1)used With a Wind charge It can AT MINIMUM (from what i've tested) kill Simeone in full non enchant netherite 2)when i tested It could be enchanted maybe it's because i was in creative?

In real life, swords are weak against fully armored knights because they focus on cutting and stabbing. Maces however use blunt force damage, making them highly effective against armored knights. The mace in-game could perhaps keep its damage at 7, but ignore armor (like netheritr, or protection), meaning it's a strong counter to god armor players. Maybe a "heavy" enchant, which doesn't increase its damage, but does increase its armoe-ignore ratio. So base mace ignores 50% armor. Each heavy enchant makes it ignore 10% more. So a mace with Heavy 5, ignores 100% armor. Meaning whether a player has prot 5 netherite, or is naked, it does the same damage.

love the video but wanted to tell you that launching yourself up with windcharges and attacking with the mace is the intended way to use it, as it does a big amount of damage and its pretty fast

This weapon came out, so does that mean we might be getting stronger armor, tools, and weapons than netherite just saying it could happen

5:06, wrong, if you offhand wind charges, jump with jump boost II and launch upwards, while having strength 2, you can kill the wither in 3 hits. You dont need to set up anything

Combining wind charges with the Mace makes it much better than a sword or axe imo. I also disagree with the damage cap, that will make it _actually_ useless.

I don't see it as overpowered. Yes you can one shot a warden and a wither, but when in survival are you gonna get the drop on them. Beating them with the mace will require a lot of setup.

i think they should have it when u take damage it charges up that damage to deal it back at enemy at later date

Mr zaroshii i belive they have said they will add more ways to increase its use even more idk if that implies enchants ( the 3d model we all want to make it look like a real mace ) or some new mechanic? but i would expect some cool stuff today

Breeze rods doesn't make sense. Instead it should be crafted with wind chargers and end rods

the mace could really use a thorns enchantment, like medieval maces, and the right click, instead of being a ground pound attack, can be a leap attach, giving knockback to entities hit

I agree with you near completely However, I am nearly certain that enchantment will come with later updates, along w/ unique ones as is consistent with the trident and crossbow. As of now I have but one issue with the mace, and thats the infintly scaling damage, and perhaps that you can somewhat easily (of course out of the context of and actuall fight) kill a fully armored player.

How about using a blaze rod instead of the breeze rod to craft a maze variant that generates a fire damage area around the impacted mob? It wont negate fall damage, but you can use feather falling to reduce it~

if you put a trident with riptide in your off hand and a mace in your main hand and its raining and you use the trident to dash into things from up high it does tones of damage pair this strat with strength pots and you can 2 shot a warden consistanly!

I think also the mace should have a sort of bounce when right click was held down maybe. But it should be like the trident, where with the trident you can shoot out of water with an enchantment. But make it a bounce and since it is related to the wind enemies, it should be a wind powered bounce. I don't know, just something i thought of
