I love it!! For the quilt cotton version you should do a spice jars appliqué or quilt block for the back side 😂. I enjoyed the tutorial, now to go sew!!

Jess!! I can't even tell you how much this is a ME project! (and of course, I bought the pattern!) I have so much waterproof canvas, so much cork, so much vinyl, and I'm starting to really play with my embroidery machine. PLUS, I LOVE pouch-type things. I can already see I'm going to be making tons of these. (and I LOVE that you have a cup cozy in yours... brilliant!)

I've made two, one normal size and one I altered to fit my weeks size notebook. I love it, it's perfect to carry about my basic planner supplies like my favourite pens, a ruler and stickers. I use the clear section for polaroids. Thanks for such an easy but effective pattern!

I just made this tonight and struggled a lotttt with the binding - so be aware that if you are using waterproof canvas (instead of water resist which is lighter) plus midweight vinyl on ext and int, take that into account for your binding cause even foldover elastic wasn't wide enough to go over the full edges of the thick pocket areas for me 😅 the rest went together great!

I was able to use prong magnets through just the lining then sew the lining and outer together. I used cork and vinyl with the pockets being cotton woven with interfacing. I reinforced the magnets with decovil heavy pieces.

Great pattern! I made this for my moms Kindle Fire. It was so easy to add to make it fit. I also changed the clear plastic to mesh and the snaps to velcro. She LOVES it! Thank you!

Just finished my first spice rack while watching the video. I love it! I was too lazy to make binding so I used 1" FOE instead. I think it worked perfectly since I was able to stretch it a little around the curves. 10 out of 10! I'm already planning at least 3 more!

The pattern tells you that it fits a kindle sized 6 x 6.5 or something like that. So I took the difference (iPad 10 x 7”) and added that to the height. The width was a bit harder to work out but as the pattern folds into 3, make sure the back panel will fit the iPad, the side zip pocket you’ll want to add the same amount as for the back centre, and maybe add a little less to the vinyl pocket. It sounds a lot more complicated than it is, but I’m just avoiding giving out direct measurements.

I love this so much! I am going to add the "handle and strap" hack. Probably will add a top flap to the clear slip pocket area to make sure nothing slides out when carrying it via the strap.

Hi, thank you for this vid! I don’t sell bags or projects, but I enjoy making for my grandchildren, I have a kam rivet press but don’t have dies for the snaps- and they are over $100. Will plastic snaps work? I have the hand tool for those. I need an affordable substitute for the fashion snaps. Thanks again!

Water resistant canvas is the thinner canvas like Jess uses in this video. I looked in the about section, but there wasn’t a link to this canvas specifically. The fabric shops listed should have it though if you want to check them out.

I feel like the binding would look better if the initial stitched and then folded edge would be on the "good" side and the raw edge in the inside side, is it just me? Am I getting something wrong?

The pattern is backwards. You want the smaller flap on the right, like a notebook cover, agenda or whatever.
