Hope you have fun DMing the Desert Of Desolation series. My brother was the DM for the series. There is alot more I can say about the TSR villains (none of it good), but it would be all hearsay, since I was not there at the time.
What I don't get about this module lore-wise is that it is stated that the waters of Athis (and hence the entire river) were around for a very long time (being the foundation of the entire landscape with its flowering cities etc.); but that would mean that the magical spring of these waters had to have been there long before the pyramid was built, while at the same time it is stated that the spring, from which the waters were teleported to the fountain, was located inside the pyramid... :/ What's up with that? Was the pyramid built in the same location as the already existing spring?
Yeah, you are right. Plot Hole! I would say the magical spring existed before the area was inhabited, then the Pyramid was built later around/on top of it.
I agree, The pegasus being chaotic good in nature would never willingly serve under somebody who would destroy history, they would view it as wanton and unwarranted. They would only be there as slaves and would seek to escape if the opportunity presented itself.
