I love many types of Role Playing Games (RPG), including traditional Pen & Paper RPG (TTRPG), as well as Computer Role Playing Games (CRPG)
On my RU-vid Channel, I will be analyzing and reviewing various RPGs.
Currently, I am reviewing Dungeons & Dragons Adventures & Modules. I created a Playlist of D&D Modules released by both me and other RU-vid Channels. I noticed quite a few gaps, I will work on filling in some of those gaps.
My 'wayward' love of computer Role Playing Games include Divinity Original Sin 1 & 2, first two Dragon Age games, Dragon's Dogma, Baldur's Gate, Planescape Torment, The Witcher Series, and others. So, I will also cover them on this RU-vid Channel.
How would level drain even work. I could see if it was some sort of attack that consumed or destroyed your memory but “I hit you now you’ve lost a whole level of upgrades “ has never made sense to me.
I've run this 3 times and it just gets better every time. I love the whole setup. Goes really well as an intro campaign even if you don't follow the modules all the way through to the end.
I'm now running Palace of the Silver Princess solo, with AI as the DM. Going smoothly so far! When I'm finished, I'll watch the final part of your video.
Castle Amber is one of my favorite D&D adventures. I ran it for players back in the early ‘80’s and haven’t used it since that time. I am now about to run it for my regular D&D group, transposing their 5e characters into B/X counterparts (using Old School Essentials Advanced Fantasy Rules). I hope I can impart the awesomeness of this adventure upon them. Wish me luck!
I am certain you will have no trouble running the X2 Mod. Hopefully your Players are appreciative of you being a DM. Players are "a dime a dozen", while DMs are not.
If you don’t think this is a good module, try using your imagination, get a little wild, add to it what you like or think it needs. And do your best not to be boring. If you become interested and invested in the material, then so will your players. But don’t expect the module to do all the work for you. If you find it uninteresting, that’s on you and speaks volumes about you.
I admit, you got a point. It is up to the DM to take what is there (whether good or not) and make it better. Before, I thought the B6 Mod was a bad Mod. Then I saw Dungeon Craft's videos on them, how he changed them, and made the B6 Mod better, thus changed my mind
Glad you like the info. As far as my voice, I have a fear of slurring my words (did so when I was young). So now I try to speak each word individually, to avoid slurring my words.
Unfortunately, that is my real voice. Due to my fear of slurring my words, I try to speak each word individually. I have been told to use an AI voice over my natural voice.
It was really disappointing to see a “warning” in this video. Especially since we would not see a warning for anyone who was or is a communist, or had some other extremist views or leanings. We are just here for the reviews.
Sorry for the Warning. In my original review of the UK2 Mod, a Commenter told me things about Graeme Morris. Things that I was unaware of, and now when I look at the UK2 and UK3 Mods, I see what he was talking about, and cannot unsee them. Thus the Warning "carried over" to this walkthrough of the UK1 Mod.
I created paper miniatures for the entire B6 module. I also created 3 tavern owner NPCs. Having a lot of fun running this module by my self and learning the BECMI system.
Glad to hear you had fun with it. At first, I did not think it was a good D&D Module. Then I saw Prof DM's video on it, and now I realize, I need to be more imaginative.
@@williamkarl-gustafmoller8492 If it is copyrighted material, then, no, do not send them to me. I do not want to get into trouble with YT, etc. Otherwise, I have a Twitter and Facebook pages where I can be reached.
Believe it or not, that is my voice. I speak like that because of my fear of slurring words, and using Uhms and Ahs. I have been told it would be better for me to use an AI voice instead of my own voice.
@@RPGmodsFan yes of cause😂 I meant that all of your walkthroughs have helped me a lot DMing Candlekeep mysteries, I am enjoying watching them and they and I appreciate you comments on how to improve the different adventures (not this one in particular). So thank you so much for your hard work 🙏
Thanks for the suggestion. I will put it on my To Do List. Currently working on Traveller videos. I admit, I am still pissed at WotC for the OGL Debacle, hence I am not motivated to do D&D videos.
Shame on you for questioning the IQ of the legendary Tom Moldvay. You make RU-vid videos that are dependent upon his work There are many different kinds of fruit wine; apple, cherry, blueberry, peach, apricot, raspberry, etc. The Cynidiceans in the subterranean city have obviously cultivated some sort of subterranean fruit.
I would add that in a world that includes MAGIC, anything is possible. Also, the pyramid can be considered a "mythic underworld", in my opinion, meaning it warps reality. Great video, otherwise! Thanks for making it.
And older video that just came up for me. I really like the steady, almost poetic, pace of your narration. Other than the movie I only have a passing knowledge of the world of Conan. It's a really well-designed world. familiar enough to be relatable but with fantasy elements that still feel tangible. I love interesting lore like this. Even though I never played those games, I find the world of Strangereal really fascinating.
