Hehe. You make the figures seem pretty easy to do at least yes. :) Only at the half loop-half snap you are giving a lot of inputs. Enjoy the plane, I hope to see a lot more videos :) The head-mounted cam is also great, because it gives insight about where you look at during the figures.
@CGuldager Hej Christian, Vi glæder os til at se dig derude! Den er fantastisk at flyve og vi er ret priviligeret at vi har sådan en flyver tilrådighed i Vøjstrup :-) Ses på Vøjstrup!
I sold it to some lucky guy in Germany - somewhere near Hannover I think it was. The SZD handles very well. It is much easier to fly the figurs well. The Salto requries more skill and even with skill some manoveres are hard/impossible to do. As you can see in this video there are figurs included which the Salto cannot do (not pretty atleast). With the SZD you are also able to mark the up/down lines better without hitting Vne or running out of energy. It's highly recommendable :-)
I don't know if the SZD can compete with the Swift. As long as the tailslide is prohibited we won't see it in any competition. I have spoken with AllStar regarding the approval. The glider is strong enough - it's just a matter of papers. In July this year they told me the papers had returned from EASA and the approval just needeed an accept from the Polish Air Regulation Office. With a little luck the approval will be sent out spring next year.... That would be awsome :-)
Hi Markus, I will appreciate your critique! You did very well at this years WGAC, I'd be a fool if I did'nt listen :-) Regarding the tailslide approval, I am pretty surprised. I have been in contact with Bernd Hager and other people at AllStar regarding that. They keep telling me it is on the way.... It's the main reason I still have'nt bought an Acro.... How did they do at the German nationals?
Hi MIchael, Very nice video and well done! Do you want me to critique you again? ;-) Just strange that you say the SZD is not approved for tailslides! In Germany it actually is and this year there where I believe 4 different SZD flown in unlimited class at the german nationals! Look out, maybe we will see the first SZD to fly at the WGAC2009 in France! Best regards, Markus
Yeah... it's harder than it looks. I am push/pull between -4 and 6G some places in the sequence. Going from negative G's to positive G's forces you to breath right. If not there are a risk of grayout.... or blackout in rare cases (never had that though)....
Hm, okay. Except for local sportsman competitions maybe, but I figure you're somewhat past that class :) Elsewhere on youtube I can see others performing something that looks like a tailslide with it.
