This couldn't have come at a better time. I'm getting a lot of interview bites, moving to the 2nd/3rd rounds of a couple, and I really want to help push my candidacy over the edge. It's tough when there's only so much relevant work experience to demonstrate, but I have been NONSTOP studying IAM concepts and technologies that I'm missing for the past few months. Cheers!
Just found your channel today, watched couple of videos and loved them all. I look forward to more projects that can be included in resume 🙏 Thank you.
Hey Andrew please make a video on how to create a best CV for cybersecurity freshers & experienced people. you can also mention best of these projects that can be added on the CV/Resume.
Hi! Sorry for the late response, there are vendor specific training like sailpoint and okta to name a few but it’s more geared to their product and they can be $$$.
Hi! Yes, it 100% can help. What I suggest you do is grab a developer Okta account and mess around. Work on setting you a joiner process and creating a new user. Managing users within Universal Directory. If you can, get your on Active Directory stood up and setup an integration where you can push users to AD or pull new users from AD to Okta. The possibilities are endless. The more you get comfortable, the more valuable you can be for future employers, especially using Okta.
I’m so happy to hear that. I have a developer account and I love working with it. I was wondering if I made a mistake with going with this cert since it’s my first one.
I came across this video today, and I really love it. My question is how do I input this experience into my resume. I am new to adding projects to resume. A resume is supposed to be one page so how do I include this project so it does not exceed one-page resume?
I don’t think you need to keep your resume to 1 page anymore. It depends in my opinion the level of experience you have. I feel 2 is sufficient. Finally, I think you should put projects near the top of your resume if you don’t have a lot of working experience in the IAM field. It can help showcase that even though you don’t have “working experience” you have done projects showing you know the stuff.
@@AllThingsIAM I have been stuck with this error "The domain portion of the userPrincipalName property is invalid. You must use one of the verified domain names in your organization." when I submitted the form. how can I get pass this?
this is very true; IAM sector seems new or haven't been talk about on social media i always her soc analyst or network engineer but not this one. am i crazy?
Hey man, yes! IAM isn't cool like pen testing or ethical hacking. IAM is starting to get more exposure as now identity is really the new perimeter. Which is also why I started to make videos 1) to get more folks aware of IAM and 2) to get more people interested and get them jobs... we need awesome folks!!!
