@@hoh5956 He put out a statement that he's Hawaiian because Kahuku, HI raised him, but his bloodlines are Tongan, Samoan and Irish. He reps ALL of Polynesia whether it's by blood or the love he feels. I've always claimed Hawaii and the Hawaiian way of life because Nanakuli, HI raised me but my blood ties are to Samoa. We learned the true meaning if family and community FROM Hawaii.

Full version by @kolohekai But really,check out so many of the Hawaiian/Polynesian artists that have songs and jams that the rest of the world hasn't been exposed too until Iam put it out there. Fiji, JBoog, Anuhea, Common Kingz, Maoli, Mana'o Company and the list goes on and on. I feel like modern "Hawaiian" music is a mix of Reggae, Country (some would say Jawaiian music....Jamaican + Hawaiian) some fast some slow. The days of Don Ho and Tiny Bubbles and the steele guitar are a thing of the past (albeit a significant one).
