I am Filipina-American, I am 66 years old, married with three adult children, and I am falling in love with you! The first and only time I ever voted for an American Idol contestant was in Season 2. That was Ruben Studdard and he captured me with his soulfulness. Iam, you have that soulfulness with an island flair. For many years, I gave up watching American Idol (because I would be disappointed with the results) but now here you are in Season 21. This song bring out the emotional side of me because November first was the day my uncle died and it may not seem like a big deal cause it’s just an uncle but that uncle was one of the most nicest people I’ve ever met the day I found out was after school and he was in the hospital my mum and brother went and visited him in the hospital and I couldn’t because of school and I stayed with my nana since they were in traffic on the way back when my mum picked me up I was hesitant to ask how he is but when we got home I finally did and I said “oh mum how’s uncle villiami” and before my mum said anything my brother said “oh he died” and right then and there my heart for him shattered into a million pieces that day and I was sad but ok until the day of the funeral when it got time to see the body to say goodbye that’s what we do in the Tongan culture when I saw him my heart broke more and turned to dust as I thought and knew that that was the last time I could ever see him and after that when ever I tried to pieces back my heart that night I couldn’t I would go up with my little cousin and she cried all night then a two weeks after I found u and ur music relates so much to my life which is why I’m so grateful for an artist like u u take reality and make it into a song which I feel like is even more sad is that his birthday is the 21 of November and he would’ve turned 58 Iam I’m really grateful for u and you’ve been a blessing on my grief really so thank you in a million ways ofa atu always and ur music❤❤❤

Iam is a great person. I met him during my senior year at Decatur high school. I'm glad he won American Idol and spreading the island music throughout his competition. He has a beautiful voice when I first heard him sing in school. We used to hang out near the music class and outside ans just play and sing together with our other friends.
