Love the Ianess of his presence..."Shine On Little Wing!" Blues, has forever forged it's rhythm in our souls, for that's why they call us "The Wise Ones!" Cheers 🍻 Best of health! Safe travels 🙏
I saw Ian at the Satellite Lounge and it was magical! I miss the Satellite, especially dollar Pearl Beer nights. luckily I can still catch Ian on the road. 😁
I stumbled upon these guys quite by accident at Smith's Old Bar in Atlanta at about this time. I was on a business trip and out with some colleagues. I was into Ian at the time but had no idea he was were playing there that night and had never seen him with this band anywhere. It remains one of the 4 or 5 best live shows I've ever seen.
I miss the ol' Satellite Lounge. This was such a great show.. as was the following night in Austin @ Antones. The band was really smokin in this period w/ George & Chris. Good times :)
Saw them in Chicago on this tour or a very similar time frame… JJ was on drums. Was one of the best shows I’ve ever seen to this day. And it was 22 yrs ago!!! Chris is a phenom too! Love his playing on this and Ian’s voice is remarkable.
Incredible. Amazing vocal performance and GREAT band. Ian is my hero! Would give my 3rd nut to see the Wash Away My Troubles performance from this night. I saw the band on this tour... I wouldn't even have known they were in Chicago, until Ian and Bukka popped into the cafe I was a barista at. I left my job to see the show. I don't regret it, it was incredible.
One of my favorite Live albums and artists. Only wish this entire gig was available on video. Happened to catch him years ago at a cozy little joint (The Bottleneck) in Lawrence, KS, knowing very little about what I was about to be subjected to. It was worth every penny and I would have paid much more (think it was only $10) for the experience and opportunity to have such a unforgettable night in such an intimate venue. Thanks for posting!
