no matter what plug in you use, you can never duplicate this machine. there is a reason why the value is still so high on it and why its still being used today to make hits.
@arjanpetersen
@arjanpetersen 3 года назад
Off course you can emulate it. The swing is just available in ableton. Somehow people idolize old stuff. It is only expensive because people see value in it. Doesn’t mean it is good. And it is hardly used.
@KY-zerSOH-zay
@KY-zerSOH-zay 3 года назад
@@arjanpetersen i won´t argue on idolize with you, but sometimes or for some people, speaking of me, it´s more natural and more vibing to use an instrument and kinda play it instead of pushing a mouse and looking at huge screen when it comes to making music. that´s why i got me a mpc. and use ableton as a digital recorder with mastering fx . Todays abilities making music as a bedroom producers are quadrazillions times better then back in the 90s. I wish i had them for that price tag back then. the new mpcs can do it all now. the limit is only your skillset

I love this!!! I thought I was operating big when I picked up the 2000XL with a jaz drive. I had no idea what I was doing at the time so I used it a little different then this, I guess that's what was so fun about hardware, coming up with creative ways to make it work for you. I always wanted the filter expansion, never did get around to purchasing one. Man I miss that unit.

I wish there were video resources like this in the early 2000s! I was so set on the computer being everything - although gear was expensive as always, so that was a factor too... I had a SuperNova and Roland but didn't even know much about the midi sequencing side of MPCs. Just got an old MC-909 recently but the Toraiz SP-16/DJS-1000 have been really insightful and I think their simplicity is akin to these older MPCs!

What other machines are close to MPC 3000 from the new batch.Is it MPC ONE or Maschine? I guess none of these could re do what MPC 3000 could bback then. Amazing video to see, that masters like Pooley still rocknroll their gear from the past. Was amazed to see how Fat Boy Slim did his records. Quite siomple stuff yet he mastered it and it still can deliver. Amazing inspiration.

He may have liked the swing better, or it may have suited the main loop better - there’s no warp markers on an MPC, so you make the tempo fit the loop, not the other way around.

Or could someone do this on iPad program. It just needs to be straigt forward and had to have that groove like MPC have no matter what or how you play it always is groovy.
