Thanks! Yeh that was the big thing that I really needed to happen. I'm really pleased with the outcome since making my offer was a close call, so I can't be mad.
Congratulations, could you do a video with general pointers for HL chemistry and biology? I'm starting IB next school year and would really appreciate any advice.
Hey, check out my channel, I have a video for both IB chemistry and IB biology! If you want more detailed stuff, I am in the process of making an online course with syllabus content as well as a million different tips and stuff which i would highly recommend once it is completed! Hope you enjoyed the video!
Hello Markos.. I will study the baccalaureate system... How can I get high grades... What system do I follow in my studies... If my English is weak, what should I do... I want to study medicine..
That's great! I also got a 43 but sadly it didnt go up after the case review :(. Surprisingly similar subjects (i.e English lit and Chem), I took Chem Phys and Maths HL and Eng Lit A, history, chinese B SL, with Chem EE. I found lit to be extremely tough this year considering usually most people are stronger in their written papers, I do better in those but messed up my IOP.
@@ggbjhijgghj Hi Rayl, I got an A for my chem EE. It was on the decarbonisation of the cement sector, titled "Comparison of amine scrubbing and Ca looping for decarbonisation of the cement sector". Let me know if you need any help, chem EE was a nice experience, and can be done well with a good topic.
@@Mr35diamonds oh, so yours is a secondary data EE? mines a primary one on nanoparticles, nice that u got an A cuz it's especially difficult for data based ones
@@ggbjhijgghj not secondary data. It was all experimentally based, I devised a method to compare the two within a lab scale setting, which was challenging of course, but I did it anyway. Don’t do secondary data ones
Hey, I’m gonna start school tomorrow as a first year IB student. A lot of my old colleagues left, and I feel shaky. Will I cope through? Will I succeed? Those the will have to outdo the skill? Iron from ice
Hey dude! Congrats! Which Cambridge college ru going to? I am a near miss offer holder for Churchill college (43 too, but needed a 7 in history HL ahaha, but waiting for a remark), so u never know we might meet next yr!:)
I’m gonna be at Clare, I couldn’t resist the location. Oh damn, I wish you all the best for history, I’m sure the IB will see some sense and give you that seven. Maybe we will! Would love to see you there!
@@MarkosDrakos ahhh yeah Clare is beautiful!!:-0 Ahaha I might have chosen Churchill because they let you walk on the grass shhshhhhh:D Thank you! hell yeah that would be great:)) It's either the remark (was one mark off on my IA rip but who knows with the algorithm) or the summer pool, hopefully one way or another it should work out:))
@@MarkosDrakos ahaha it's definitely a perk! Yes luckily I got reprieved by my college thank god ahah:P Looking forwards to meeting u! My instagram is ari.ponte if u have one too
Thank you! I sure can! I still have quite a few videos planned before I can start making general study videos again. However, if you want to check out the video on how I study instead, it could help you out. This is the link - ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-b0oti7jSGpo.html
I had a question. Could students still get into universities like Cambridge even if their high school never sent anyone to Cambridge or other top universities before? thanks!
William Kim yes of course! Getting into one of these unis has nothing to do with the school you go to. However, you may get less support with doing personal statements and admissions tests so you may need to be more independent with this stuff. This being said, yes, it is entirely possible to get in as long as you have the grades and they like you in the interviews.
No, I don't have a scholarship. In order to qualify for those you need a household income of below a certain level as well as a bunch of other stuff. I would assume they cover the fees, I don't know about living costs though...
I was sad because I was consistently at a high 7 throughout the two years in economics, so getting a six was just a little disappointing. Anyways, you're right, many people have had it far worse off than me. Well done urself though!
I mean I can try, but that is mostly up to you guys. If you want you can check out some of my subject specific videos that sort of teach you how to get good grades(in those subjects)
