Ibanez GRG7221-WH (7-string guitar) - Is it worth?

300$ 7 string guitar from Ibanez. Let me know what you think about this guitar and tone.
I'm used to Ibanez series (mostly RGT6EX), so I have decided to buy another Ibanez guitar, this time with 7 strings (tuned to Drop A).
Guitar came with poor scale set up, so i had to get new strings and visit the luthier. He had to grind the frets to properly set up the guitar. He also lowered the string action for me (my preference), and now I can finally begin exploration of 7 strings possibilities.

I've got a cheap ibanez 7 string made in indonesia and its fine for just chugging about. If I cared more about it i'd just throw in a better bridge

My 2 RGT6EXFX are from Korea, but im really happy about those (6 strings tho, got them many years ago). This 7 strings GRG is ofc from china. Yeah, you can always modify your guitar, and thats nice.

This guitar really only needs a new set of pickups and electronics, locking tuners, and maybe a bridge change. Always a good idea to get frets dressed for lower priced instruments, too. I plek'd a JS22-7 and it was 100% worth the money. For a $200 guitar, you can add maybe $350 in mods and then like $150-$250 for the plek depending on who you go to, and you have a workhorse of a guitar.

Well, I was wondering if i should have waited for more money to get some higher priced 7 string. But i never bought 300$ guitar so I was curious. And well, christmas was coming :D Anyway its not bad for sure for that price. If i wanted to spend more money, thou, I think i would aim for just higher priced series. Altough, you never know what will you get, if you buy from internet.
