You may already know that I'm a big fan of Ibanez guitars. Especially their Wizard necks (and I also like their Pro Edge tremolo).
So it's no surprise that I picked this up to demo when I saw it at Replay Guitar Exchange in Tampa: JIVA Nita Strauss Signature Ibanez 2019.

• 3 Things I Learned Fro...
First, I love the greenish color of this guitar. So it was eye-catching (along with being a higher-end Ibanez).
But the biggest thing about this guitar is its easy playability. Much of that comes from the ebony fingerboard, which I prefer for fast playing.
The JIVA also comes loaded with Nita Strauss's signature DiMarzio pickups. As you'll hear in the video, I also played some clean tones to highlight these pickups.
This Ibanez JIVA model is very thin and light. Perfect for playing live.
The only drawback to this guitar (and this is just a personal thing) is the location of the input jack. I didn't think about it until after filming this video so I wanted to include that here.
It's in the body of the guitar below the tone knob. Not a big deal but the cable points out instead of down. Of course, playing live, I would be using a wireless anyway. Again, not a big deal and an extremely small detail that may not matter to most.
All that said, the JIVA Nita Strauss Ibanez guitar is effortless to play. And it sounds amazing, too.
Oh, and I was playing through one of the Boss Katana amps in the shop for this demo. Normally I prefer a tube amp but I like to play leads with a little delay and the Boss Katana is a much quicker setup, plug-in-and-play type of amp with effects.
