I have the head version - run with 2 x 12' Ibanez cab........great rig. get a delay and a reverb perdal and you are set for anything. effects loop is great touch! Takes pedals extremely well.
Magic sound with a Tele custom or a hollow body. I have the TS5/15- 80w open box. The sounds you pull out of this combo is up there with the best of them. I added a rack mount Roland reverb, chorus, gain and drive. Truly next level sound. All ibanez white amps are going to sort after one day. Had mine 4 years now. Not getting anything else unless it's vintage for a specific sound. They are still available for the same $ they came out today. Bit getting harder to find. That's a plus and amp worth the same or more than u paid.
I bought it yesterday. Planned on swapping tubes for some Ruby's. I ended up leaving it as is. This thing is creamy. Tons of headroom. This could become my favorite amp. My Delta Blues is sweet also. This has a cleaner, thicker tube saturation. I'm sold.
The sounds you are getting out of this amp are beautiful but could you do a short upload of what this amp sounds like at full "crunch"?I'm really thinking of getting one but I play punk and metal. I want to hear how bad this amp can be. Thank you!
That looks awesome! I wanted a white Fender Muastang, but they are rear. I hate black amps...I don't gig, it just sits in one place of I take it to another room.
Hi and thanks for the review. I am seriously thinking of getting this amp with a 2x12 open cab from marchall. What I wanted to know is, can I get tube breaking at relatively low (room levels) by cranking a bit of gain and lowering the volume? Would that actually 'work' the tubes? I mean ts 15 watts model has a 7w mode at the back, but this one doesn't. Can I actually get decent sound at low volume levels? Thanks for the video, good playing man.
Well this Demo was done with the volume just above 1, You can get a decent tone at low volume but it is a tube amp after all. Will sound better louder. Cheers and thanks for watching !!!
It's probably that celestion seventy 80 speaker, that thing ends up sounding pretty fizzy that's why people swap them out for vintage 30s or greenbacks
Sound is subjective. That fuzz was the exact sound I have been hunting. I think any metal player would hate it. Blues and classic Rock...This is a must have combo amp. Not too heavy to gig either
