We stayed at the Iberostar Paraiso Maya in January of 2023. Follow along as we walk through the resort and share some of our feedback! This is our second stay at the Maya and I'm sure we will return in the future!
Very nicely done. My husband and I are thinking about going here for my 64th birthday this winter. Both the Lindo and the Maya look wonderful. You have an adorable family. Thank you for posting.
I am getting conflicting information on the specialty restaurants....An Iberostar employee told me over the phone there is no limitations on the specialty restaurants, but I am reading reviews of things saying "Staying fourteen days, we qualified for six ala carte dinners included as part of our stay" and "we were allowed 3 nights at the restaurants and the other 4 nights required us eating that the buffet" -- what was your experience on this topic? Thanks!
The speciality restaurants were limited to how long you stayed. You can make reservations right when you check in to sort of plan out your dinners for the week.
There are trolleys (golf carts) to get you around either from the lobby to get to the other resort lobbies or ones that go from the lobby down to the beach. The lobby to the beach ones typically are between the resorts if that makes sense.
Nice job fam! This was fun to watch and makes me even more excited to go for my niece's wedding next April. Keep creating content you put this together very well.
This is one of the best resorts ever … we got married in October 2019 there, resort was amazing and that was before the water slides. Everything so close and so much to do
Hi Haga family, I know your kids are a little older but I feel as one mama bear to another maybe you noticed this. Is there any high chairs at the buffet or restaurants? I have a 2 year old and would love to not bring our booster seat if we don’t have too.
Hi! We were actually there when my youngest was still in need of a high chair and when we were there they had the ikea style high chairs! I believe we also used a booster in one of the restaurants but definitely no need to bring anything.
Thank you! That’s actually one I can’t speak to. I would just ask when you get there, they have lifeguards right there you could discuss with. Good luck!
Was the children's pool area close to the bigger pools? We have several families going so don't want to be so far away from the ones with children. Hoping they are not on complete opposite sides of one another.
From the beach, it goes: big pool, wave pool, lazy river/volleyball pool, slides, kids pool. We traveled with my nieces and nephews so when some of the kiddos wanted to go to the kids pool, one of the adults would just go sit over by them to keep an eye on them. It's not too far but not like, eyes reach close either. We took turns going back and forth but the kids actually really enjoyed the big pools too since they were a gradual decent in and could just play on the shallow part. (we also brought some $3 sand toys to play with in the pool from target and left them for another child when we left)
We pre-booked a private taxi through our travel agent. There are also many transfer options available right at the airport that are very easy to get and reasonably priced.
