He brings together the apparent and the inner meanings, ruling with justice and residing in the highest spiritual stations. He is an exemplar for the rightly guided caliphs and the guided Imāms whose ways have been forgotten by the hearts and the ways of whom the ummah has forsaken. The Shaykh reminded us of them, and thus we followed in their path, revived their ways, and upheld their principles. The Shaykh, the Imām, Taqī al-Dīn Abū al-ʿAbbās Aḥmad Ibn ʿAbd al-Ḥalīm Ibn ʿAbd al-Salām Ibn Taymīyyah, may Allāh bless him and raise his rank, and may the success of those who follow in his footsteps continue.❞* شيخنا السيد الإمام، الأمَّة الهُمام، مُحيي السنة، وقامع البدعة، ناصر الحديث، مُفتي الفرق، الفاتق عن الحقائق، وموصلها بالأُصول الشرعية للطالب الذائق، الجامع بين الظاهر والباطن، فهو يَقْضي بالحق ظاهرًا، وقلبُه في العلى قاطن، أُنموذج الخلفاء الراشدين، والأئمة المهديين، الذين غابت عن القلوب سيرُهم، ونسيتِ الأمةُ حذْوَهم وسُبُلَهُم، فذكرهم بها الشيخُ، فكان في دارسِ نهجهم سالكًا، ولِموضات حذوهم مُحييًا، ولأعِنَّةِ قواعدهم مالكًا: الشيخ الإمام تقي الدين أبو العباس، أحمد بن عبد الحليم بن عبد السلام ابن تَيْمِيَّةَ، أعاد الله علينا بركته، ورفع إلى مدارج العلى درجته، وأدام توفيق السّادة المبدوءِ بذكرهم وتسديدهم 📚 (Al-ʿUqūd al-Durrīyyah p. 360) • Ibn Shaykh al-Ḥizzāmīyyīn said: *❝Then, my brothers, acknowledge the right of what Allāh has blessed you with in your commitment to these actions. Recognize the path that led you to this, and express gratitude to Allāh the Exalted for it. And that is that He has raised for you and us in this era a leader like our esteemed Shaykh (Ibn Taymīyyah), through whom Allāh has opened the locks of hearts and uncovered the insights hidden behind doubts and the perplexities of misguidance. The intellect was bewildered among these factions and did not find guidance to the true essence of the religion of the Messenger ﷺ. It is astonishing that each of them claims to be upon the religion of the Messenger of Allāh, until Allāh revealed to us and to you through this man the reality of his religion, which He sent down from the heavens and approved for His servants. Know that in the expanses of this world, there are people who live their lives among these factions, believing that these innovations are the true essence of Islām. They do not know Islām except in this way.❞* ثم اعرفوا إخواني حق ما أنعم الله عليكم من قيامكم بذلك، واعرفوا طريقَكم إلى ذلك، واشكروا الله تعالى عليها، وهو أن أقام لكم ولنا في هذا العصر مثل سيدنا الشيخ الذي فتح الله به أقفال القلوب، وكشف به عن البصائر عمى الشبهاتِ وحيرةَ الضلالاتِ، حيثُ تاه العقلُ بين هذه الفرق، ولم يهتد إلى حقيقة دين الرسول ﷺ. ومن العَجَب أن كلاًّ منهم يدّعي أنه على دين رسول الله، حتى كَشَفَ الله لنا ولكم بواسطة هذا الرجل عن حقيقة دينه الذي أنزله من السماء وارتضاه لعباده. واعلموا أنّ في آفاق الدنيا أقوامًا يعيشون أعمارَهم بين هذه الفرق، يعتقدون أن تلك البدعَ حقيقةُ الإسلام، فلا يعرفون الإسلام إلا هكذا. 📚 (Al-ʿUqūd al-Durrīyyah p. 373) • Ibn Shaykh al-Ḥizzāmīyyīn said: *❝Then, once you have understood that, recognize the true status of this man (Ibn Taymīyyah) who is among you and assess his worth. His true status and worth can only be known by those who understand the religion of the Messenger ﷺ, its truth, and its value. Whoever embraces the religion of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ with a heart that acknowledges its deserving status, recognizes the true value of what this man has undertaken among the people, rectifying their deviations, reforming their corruption, and addressing their negligence. He (Ibn Taymīyyah) has exerted his utmost effort in a dark time when the religion has deviated, the Sunnah has been neglected, innovations have emerged, and what is known as good has become unrecognised, while what is recognized as evil has become prevalent. Holding onto one’s faith in such circumstances is like holding onto a burning ember. Indeed, the reward for those who participate in manifesting this light in the midst of darkness is indescribable, and the danger they face is unfathomable.❞* ثم إذا علمتم ذلك، فاعرِفوا حقَّ هذا الرجل الذي هو بين أظهُركم وقدرَه، ولا يعرف حقَّه وقدره إلا من عرف دين الرسول ﷺ وحقه وقدره، فمن وقع دينُ الرسول صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم من قلبه بموقع يستحقُّه، عرفَ حقَّ ما قام به هذا الرجلُ بين أظهر عباد الله، يُقوِّم معوجَّهم، ويصلحُ فسادَهم، ويَلُمُّ شَعَثهم، جهد إمكانه، في الزمان المظلم، الذي انحرف فيه الدينُ، وجُهلت السُننُ، وعُهدت البدع، وصار المعروفُ منكَرًا، والمنكر معروفًا، والقابض على دينه كالقابض على الجمر، فإنّ أجر من قام بإظهار هذا النور في هذه الظلمات لا يوصف، وخَطَرُه لا يُعرف 📚 (Al-ʿUqūd al-Durrīyyah p. 374) • Ibn Shaykh al-Ḥizzāmīyyīn said: *❝Your Shaykh (Ibn Taymīyyah) - may Allāh bless and protect him - possesses knowledge of the rulings concerning the names and attributes of Allāh Himself. Such a knowledgeable person can witness, through their insight, the descent of divine decree across the layers of the heavens and the earth. As Allāh Almighty has said: {It is Allāh who created seven heavens and of the earth, the like of them. [His] command descends among them so you may know that Allāh is over all things competent and that Allah has encompassed all things in knowledge}. [65:12] People perceive what unfolds in the realm of the visible, while these insightful individuals have their gazes fixed upon the unseen, awaiting the unfolding of destiny, sometimes sensing it as it descends.❞* فشيخُكم - أيدكم الله تعالى - عارفٌ بأحكام أسمائه وصفاته الذاتية، ومثلُ هذا العارفِ قد يُبْصر ببصيرته تنزُّلَ الأمر بين طبقات السماء والأرض. كما قال تعالى: ﴿اللَّهُ الَّذِي خَلَقَ سَبْعَ سَماواتٍ ومِنَ الأرْضِ مِثْلَهُنَّ يَتَنَزَّلُ الأمْرُ بَيْنَهُنَّ لِتَعْلَمُوا أنَّ اللَّهَ عَلى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌ وأنَّ اللَّهَ قَدْ أحاطَ بِكُلِّ شَيْءٍ عِلْمًا﴾ [الطلاق ١٢]. فالناس يُحِسُّون بما يجري في عالم الشهادة، وهؤلاء بصائرهم شاخصة إلى الغيب، ينتظرون ما تجري به الأقدارُ، يشعرون بها أحيانًا عند تنزلها. 📚 (Al-ʿUqūd al-Durrīyyah p. 375)
• Ibn Shaykh al-Ḥizzāmīyyīn said: *❝So, I urge you to observe proper etiquette in dealing with him (Ibn Taymīyyah), to respond passionately to his commands, to preserve his sanctities both in the seen and unseen realms, to love those whom he loves, to distance yourself from those whom he dislikes and belittles, to refute gossip about him, and to support him in truth. Know, may Allāh have mercy upon you, that among us is someone who has travelled to various regions, familiarised himself with people and their tastes, and has excelled in overseeing most aspects of their affairs. By Allāh, and again by Allāh, no one has been seen beneath the heavens with the knowledge, actions, state, character, following, generosity, forbearance towards himself, and vigilance in upholding the sanctities of Allah like your Shaykh (Ibn Taymīyyah). He is the most truthful in fulfilling his commitments, the most knowledgeable and determined among them, the most resolute and exalted in supporting the truth and standing up for it, the most generous in pardoning, and the most complete in following the example of his Prophet Muḥammad ﷺ.❞* فاللهَ اللهَ في حفظ الأدب معه، والانفعال لأوامره، وحفظ حُرُماته في الغيب والشهادة، وحبِّ مَن أحبَّه، ومجانبة من أبغضه وتنقّصه، وردّ غِيبته، والانتصار له في الحق. واعلموا رحمكم الله، أن هنا مَن سافر إلى الأقاليم، وعرف الناس وأذواقَهم وأشرف على غالب أحوالهم، فواللهِ، ثم واللهِ، لم يُرَ تحت أديم السماء مثلُ شيخكم: علمًا وعملًا، وحالًا، وخُلُقًا، واتِّباعًا، وكرمًا وحِلْمًا في حق نفسه، وقيامًا في حق الله عند انتهاك حرماته، أصدقُ الناس عَقْدًا، وأصَحُّهم علمًا وعزمًا، وأنفذهم وأعلاهم في انتصار الحق وقيامِه همَّةً، وأسخاهم كفًّا، وأكملهم اتباعًا لنبيِّه محمد ﷺ. 📚 (Al-ʿUqūd al-Durrīyyah p. 375-376) • Ibn Shaykh al-Ḥizzāmīyyīn said: *❝In our era, we have not witnessed anyone who embodies the manifestation of Prophethood and the teachings of the Prophet Muḥammad ﷺ more than this individual (Ibn Taymīyyah). The sincere heart testifies that following him is the true path.❞* ما رأينا في عصرنا هذا من تُستجلى النبوةُ المحمديةُ وسنتُها من أقواله وأفعاله إلا هذا الرجل، بحيث يشهد القلب الصحيح أن هذا هو الاتباع حقيقة. 📚 (Al-ʿUqūd al-Durrīyyah p. 376) • Ibn Shaykh al-Ḥizzāmīyyīn said: *❝Once you understand this, protect your heart. For someone like this may be esteemed in the realm of the heavens. Strive to please him (Ibn Taymīyyah) in every possible way and seek his affection for yourselves. Love him as much as you are capable of, for someone like him is a witness. The witnesses in this era are followers of people like him. If you attain his love, I hope that it grants you a special status that I will keep concealed and not mention. Perhaps the discerning among you will grasp it, or maybe I have allowed myself to mention it so as not to withhold my sincere advice from you. That special status is to be blessed with a portion of his specific connection with Allāh Almighty through the love of the Shaykh (Ibn Taymīyyah) for the disciple and the disciple's efforts to attract the Shaykh’s love, while safeguarding his heart and thoughts and seeking his affection. Through this, I hope you receive a share of what exists between him and Allāh Almighty, in addition to the apparent knowledge, benefits, and wisdom you acquire from him, if Allāh wills.❞* إذا علمتم ذلك - أيدكم الله تعالى - فاحفظوا قلبه، فإن مثل هذا قد يُدْعى عظيمًا في ملكوت السماء، واعملوا على رضاه بكل ممكن واستجلبوا وُدَّهُ لكم، وحبه إياكم بمهما قدرتم عليه، فإن مثل هذا يكون شهيدًا، والشهداءُ في العصر تَبَعٌ لمثله، فإنْ حصلت لكم محبته رجوت لكم بذلك خصوصيةً أكتمها ولا أذكرها، وربما يَفْطَنُ لها الأذكياءُ منكم، وربما سمحت نفسي بذكرها، كيلا أكتم عنكم نصْحي. وتلك الخصوصية: هي أن تُرْزَقوا قسطًا من نصيبه الخاص المحمدي مع الله تعالى، فإن ذلك إنما يسري بواسطة محبة الشيخ للمريد، واستجلاب المريد محبةَ الشيخ بتأتِّيه معه، وحفظ قلبه وخاطره، واستجلاب وُدِّه ومحبته، فأرجو بذلك لكم قسطًا مما بينه وبين الله تعالى، فضلًا عما تكسبونه من ظاهر علمه وفوائده وسياسته، إن شاءَ الله تعالى. 📚 (Al-ʿUqūd al-Durrīyyah p. 377)
