A good friend of mine went to Thailand (we are in Australia) and did an ibogaine based drug rehab for heroin addiction, it did work really well while he was there, even after the rehab he stayed in Thailand for a long time living clean just using ibogaine occasionally, but when he eventually came back home to his usual environment surrounded by the same old people and where there was no ibogaine he just drifted back into the smack use. There is no one single thing such as ibogaine that can break your addiction, you have to change your entire lifestyle and surroundings so that are as few aspects as possible in your new life that are the same as aspects of your life of addiction.

Unfortunately I believe some of the places in this world have so little going on, and the city or town is structured in a very displeasing and almost toxic way. Say like a big sprawling concrete city, or maybe little sunlight. I have noticed the less sunlight and the less Mother Nature somewhere, the more people are addicted to alcohol and hard drugs. Or really anything from food to shopping to drugs and alcohol.

I went in with my intention quite set on stopping drinking. That’s the most important thing... you have to want to quit. I’m no doctor so don’t take that too seriously, but I think it will be fine. A lot of clinics will ask you to jump to short acting opiates if your on Suboxone, but the clinic I went to didn’t even require that. He has treated hundreds of not thousands of patients taking subs. Which stay in your system much longer than methadone. . The main doc running the show at the clinic I went to said that ibogaine is literally safer than Tylenol. I know a couple people who tried ibogaine, they were hardcore IV heroin and crack addicts but it only worked to keep them clean for like a week, maybe less unfortunately. They've all said though that it did alleviate withdrawal symptoms though.

It’s true. Ibogaine is very helpful for heroin addiction. But you MUST still remove yourself from the environment and change your habits. It’s not a miracle plant in that sense. But I’d say it is a miracle though if you use it right. I went to Mexico to have it done and it’s amazing. It removed my depression and anxiety 100% at least. But yes you need to take micro doses after your initial flood dose.

Iv never compared Ibogaine to Harmala alkaloids or any MAOI's nor do I really know much about chemistry but I wonder how Ibogaine has those supposed opiate blocking, or I guess "cleansing" properties people talk about. I've read cases where Ibogaine treatment was able to essentially reset or maybe rewire the parts of the brain responsible for opiate dependancy... Or at least was able to successfully detoxify opiate dependant patients without hardly any Mu opiate receptor agonism. Also, a single dose of Ibogaine, which has a half-life of around 7-8 hours is able to relieve opiate withdrawal symptoms for far longer than it even stays in your system suggesting that Ibogaine has some sort of ability to rewire the parts of the brain responsible for addiction. I'm just poorly referencing some studies I recently read so excuse me if I'm butchering my explanation. interesting stuff none the less. Makes me wonder if Ibogaine has some sort of MAOI like effect but for opioids since Ibogaine is also known to potentiate morphine and related compounds analgesic effects. If I had sud or addiction, my money would be on Ibogaine. There are some risks but far fewer risks than with addiction, and certainly far fewer risks than going through the revolving door of US addiction rehab facilities that very often bankrupt families. The reason the US refuses to legalize and regulate ibogaine is because the addiction treatment industry is second only to the prison system in money making and GNP. Their lobbyists are incredibly wealthy and can buy off politicians on both sides of the aisle.
Addiction is clinically defined as a psychological dependence paired with negative consequences. There's no inherent contradiction in using a drug to improve someone's psychological state so that they're no longer addicted to other substances.
Lsd or dmt would be better suited for dementia and alzheimers. Problem with people with those issue is their brain starts to constrict, I dont think there is a proper way even with those drugs to reverse that. Another thing I've noticed about them is they are in that trippy world. I've worked memory care while tripping and it's sad. I'm doing it for fun yet they are on a trip and they feel like its real.
@@aaymathebest4705 they are hallucinogens. Lsd know as acid lasts 8 to 12 hours and it's essentially an amino acid. DmT is a tryptomin and it makes you trip for about 5 to 12 mins intensely, tryptophan is also an amino acid. Which is why our bodies react differently to those drugs than others
