The reason is negativity about bank jobs from past few years. Banking job especially PO was a lucrative job some years back but now it has totally become a sales job. Far flung postings where even survival is difficult, Toxic management who will just keep barking orders and force you to achieve unachievable targets. Tremendous amount of work pressure on a new PO who will be made to work like a donkey from morning to evening. Not to mention the staff who never help the new PO. Late sitting till 9 pm or sometimes even 11-12 during audits. Zero work life balance. I think finally candidates have realised that bank PO has lost its charm is not worth sacrificing so many things for it. Banks have become worst place to work in nowadays

Absolutely true If you r unemployed.. any job is okay. When it comes to work life balance.. absolutely pathetic. I have few banker friends and my father is also in banking. I saw more distant postings without giving prior time to shift with family. And if you see most of the scale3&4 managers put their family somewhere, and they work somewhere out of the states also. It's pathetic man. Is se acha job State me psu nikalna like junior assistant or typist. May be salary is less but at least you can give your time for family

My friend left his ibps po for FCI ag3. Banking job pays well and getting it maybe hard but banking as a lifelong career is not for everyone. (He was earning around 74K back then in comparison to 48K in FCI but he seems happier now) Edit: when you are unemployed any job is better but if you are switching career choose wisely.

After entering into the banking, instead of liking negative comments, you will start feeling negative and give negative comments Then again someone newbie like you with the same thought, will like your negative comments And the cycle will continue 😂

Competition is not less this time. Laat year total form filling in IBPS PO were around 6 lakh 68 thousand and this year it is around 6 lakh 93 thousand. So definitely competition has increased "comparatively"

But you should also take into account the fact that within this span of recruitment cycle many candidates would have graduated all over India to be eligible and give this exam. With not much rise of applicants in comparison to previous year, it seems there is a trend of number of applicants decreasing and so does the competition.

The amount of work a newly recruited po has to do is unimaginable and still more is expected from them. I used to work like a crazy and still my manager used to complain that I'm just doing timepass. Rural postings, zero worklife balance late office sittings and what not. You're even expected to come to the office when you're suffering from fever, they think that its some excuse for leave

Hello sir......please solve my query i have done diploma 3 yr then btech 3 yr in electronics and telecomm which is equivalent to 4 yr engineering...in ibps so it eligibility it is written that 4 yr engg so am i eligible to apply for that post....please reply
