Great question. I think they should develop neutrally as they are for the benefit of the continent with out been pin to pressure. There is more bigger powerful voice in brics, but if the AES stand strong to their goal. It could be a good thing for the continent development

Joining BRiCS is a right step in the right direction for the AES. First of all, they are not joining to beg . They bring a lot to the table. From geopolitics to economics. Can you imagine AES textile industry gaining just 10% of China market, another 10% of Brazil market, and 10% of India market. That alone is huge potential for rapid development. France for years have done nothing for the AES countries , so there is nothing the AES will miss. Talking about AID,, the AES do not need AID. They need the market. AID is manipulative, but the market is fair. Talking about the African Union., the current leadership is useless. They are controlled by the very West that has made Africa 🌍 poor. even though we are so rich. So who needs them anyway? They need us much more than we do. I am happy for the AES🎉 VIVA ❤

My worry here is that you said that BRICS country don't always see eye to eye.I personally do not like toxic environments, and then the adage that when two elephants fight the grass sufers comes in handy. otherwise, BRICS membership is the way forward.

My Opinion: Mr. Traore, Amazing Future with BRICS = Peace, Prosperity, Unity, Growth, Self Reliance, For All - yes BRICS will be an equitable Partnership. Furthermore BRICS philosophy is also encouraging each country to utilize its own monetary value for purchasing and trade. Your country will gain True Independence and Development. US dollar is already devaluing on its own. I don't think AES is not matured yet to join such a global organisation; point is ,they must have an election before joining BRICS. Election don't have to be western democracy, it can be AES standard election.

BRICS is in reality just a market of countries that have not been recognized as economic giants like the USA and Western Europe. I would support a policy to make the African Continental free market a strong market for the African countries on th we continent and outsideof the continent. Trade and development would be the priority as against trade with outside markets. If we Africans dont effectively demonstrate our independence, not even our friends will have any respect for us. This will lead to foriegners exploiting us as usual. Presently the AES is on a truly independent strategy. Policies are set by the leaders and people of the AES. This independent minded strategy will take the AES to whichever international trade organization that will benefit the growth and development of the people of the AES.

Channel like this, HAS GOT to improve. Stop predicting AES action's based on whether the West approves or doesn't. The Chinese $30 Billion Financing Scheme over 3 Year's, the AES portion, plus local bond market, plus internal FDI Investment mechanism is more than enough to finance all these projects over the next 3 Year's. It's funny how Xi Jinping has a 3 Year Plan, the AES has a 60 month Plan, and not 1 penny is financed thru USD or EURO. In 2019 Africa spent $20 Billion in transfer fee's to Western Banks, imagine how much the Chinese are loosing in THEIR Transfer Fee's. The AES is actually joining the BRICS Currency Payment Platform that eliminates the need for these fee's, and eliminates having USD to pay for International goods. You add value to your own currency, because no it's convertible without going thru USD/EURO.

Its going to happen for the better. China and Russia are already helping the Sahel.
