The Makuta of Karzahni has arrived in a new BIONICLE fan film!
"ICARAX takes place just before the events of BIONICLE Legends #9: Shadows in the Sky before Icarax is summoned to Karda Nui. The Makuta of Karzahni is dealing with an identity crisis of sorts as he is currently wears the Kanohi Kraahkan, the Mask of Shadows, and many foolish beings make the mistake of identifying Icarax... as Teridax. Their loss - of life. Icarax plans to take over the Brotherhood of Makuta but several obstacles lie in his way and the only way to achieve his goal is to step over those very dead obstacles."

This fan film started out as a school project. I shot it over 3 days with over 905 images. I made a school version (which is dumbed down and with no lore) but I wanted to make a version for you all, the fans, so after a month of hardwork, I present a new Bionicle lore film dedicated to one of my favorite characters. Enjoy! Like, Comment, & Subscribe! It helps me out and makes me create more great content for you guys!

At first I was wondering why the music was so weird and it was taking so long to get started, then I realized I was on 0.25 speed XD Gotta love our tyranical warlord Icarax, throughout the books we always got the impression that he was doing so much more behind the scenes than any of the other villains, yet they never expanded upon his lore.

I recently acquired the Icarax set. Such a fantastic build. This video brings a lot of excellent atmosphere to the character, and was overall a pleasure to watch.

I loved this so much. I especially liked the cinematography, I liked your use of pulling focus a lot. I just thought it would be a lot more cinematic if it was presented in letterbox. Still, if the quality of stop motion on "Time Trap" is the same as this, I will be absolutely euphoric.

Eben A. Switaj I actually did try to make this with letterbox and watched so many videos on how to do it with Adobe Premiere Pro. You can find a image and overlay it on top of your video, you can crop the top and bottom as well however those have drawbacks as conversions can box your video (watch my original uploads of Reign of Mesodax #6 and see black bars on all sides) or I could’ve converted it from 16:9 (this format) to 21:9, the official Hollywood film format, which I did. However it cut off the top and bottom of the film and I couldn’t stretch it to fit without looking odd. Simply put, when I get around to film Time Trap, it’ll be 100% shot to be 21:9 and in proper film aspect. SALVATION #6 and Birth of Bloodlust will also be made into the 21:9 format. My favorite Bionicle character, because of his ruthlesness, cruelty and wrath. It is also his skill, fearlesness and bloodthirst, and gives this warrior the same respect I have to the Shadowed One the leader of the Dark Hunters. Well made man, just one suggestion. The distortion effect makes it hard sometimes to understand them, but maybe that's not true for native english speakers?

I always liked Icarax. Instead of plotting and manipulating like Teridax, he would rather conquer the universe by outright killing anyone in his way. And if he were successful in removing Teridax from power, I believe he could have done it. I always wondered why Gorast, who was debatably even more warlike and psychotic than Icarax, didn't share his views. Must have been crushing on Teridax.

That actually makes a lot of sense. Because when Gorast discovered Teridax betrayed them all and left them to die in the Energy Storms, Gorast absolutely made no attempt to escape. All she could admit was "Krika was right" before she was killed... after she killed him.

Yeah is weird cause Icarax trusted Teridax(like Gorast) until Teridax plans fail against the Toa Metru and think it cones down to personalty and to why they follow Teridax and the plan Icarax is a brute that only follows Teridax cause he is ticket to power while Gorast is just a full fanatic but that fanatism is focus on Teridax and the plan is just by association

@@TheShadowedOne1 No disrespect to the cinematography I think the animation and voice work here was fantasstic, overall a fantastic villainous scene but it also makes me want to route against Icarax, he is a villain after all and I feel like when given a choice between two villains people are often more likely to side with the Devil they know then the Devil they don't, despite knowing what results of Teridax winning. I think Icarax and Teridax have an interesting dynamic like a reverse version of Megatron and Starscream where the Schemer is incharge and has the might to back it up, and the Brute Powerhouse plays second fiddle questioning the other's plan while they'd rather be more direct.

Aaahh TSO1 if only i could paid you the production cost for making films like this to all the members of the Brotherhood of Makuta(one about Krika, Bitil or Mutran will be narrative art and a blast to watch) well at least Icarax manage to get one he is truly a wasted character i wish Lego and Greg would have done more with him

I normally don't like bio tube content where the characters are overly edgy or insane but this works, maybe it's my bias for bionicle 2008? Or the menacing icarax? The insane (and in my opinion) cooler than vezon vultraz? Either way great video I've been working on some 2008 bionicle stuff too! I might post some of the short animation tests to RU-vid but definitely the film I've been working on called "battle for power" and I do like your vultraz voice

Audition. But you can do many of the same effects with Audacity which is free. Adobe Audition you will have to pay for and it's expensive.

@@TheShadowedOne1 Perhaps a sequel where takanuva in his mutated titan version form invades makuta icarax's fortress and an alert is sounded once he's spotted and Icarax sends his legions of rahkshi to get rid of him but takanuva starts taking them out by blasting them with his light energy powers and before all of them are destroyed icarax comes to face him in battle himself and it becomes a battle between a being of light and good in every way and sense verses a being of shadow and evil in every way and sense. Where Icarax seeks to conquer and destroy and Takanuva seeks To liberate preserve and protect.It would literally be a clash between the ideals of Icarax and the Ideals of Takanuva, who's are the mirror opposite of Icarax's in every way!!👍

I did a few vocal effects for Icarax's voice but it was mostly Dev's original performance. I used Adobe Audition to create the effects. As for eye effects, Adobe After Effects.

I'm not sure. Those aren't the kind of questions I can answer. I just film the shots and put them together. I start each image at 0.1 seconds and then usually speed that up by 200%.
