It's summer, it's hot, let's talk about a GBA game based on a modestly successful movie from 17 years ago. Because why not? Support the show: / lonelygoomba End screen music: / phillipschlossertv
I just think it’s weird how the original was the only one with human characters. And how a human tribe of eskimos, wooly mammoths, and a slew of wild animals exist on the same timeline. Also the fact that Sid is small when real sloths are much bigger than him, and he also is capable of running and moving rather swiftly.
We went from Manny's family getting killed to a tribe that worshiped Sid to the series going all Jurassic Park to meeting some ice pirates to an asteroid caused by Scrat
I'm gonna be completely honest with you. I forgot entirely that Ice Age 1 was about a mammoth, a sloth, and a tiger joining forces to help a small kid back to his tribe.
most of us do 1 was supposed to be that epic adventure of animals going against their instincts trying not to eat a baby but to help him find his way home but every other Ice Age after that? yeah...it wasn't the same
I could've gone my whole life without seeing Sid with Goomba eyebrows and I would've been chill -But at the same time, seeing that thumbnail made my life exponentially better-
Uh actually, that's a nice joke and all... but... our planet is slowly dying and polar bears are going extinct because of idiots like you who joke about stuff like this. Try to be a bit more respectful, fellow idiot.
The Cookieceros or Chocobicky is the largest extinct species of cookie creatures. It has strong legs used for quick speed and is the most social of all cookie creatures. Historians believe the Cookieceros came in 8 different flavours, each as nice as the last. It's speculated that the females often had little bits of M&Ms in them. Recently the existence of these creatures was put into question when a very handsome goomba played Ice Age on the gameboy advance. Other scientists have also said that the image is clearly a photoshop but nah mate, look at it. It's the real deal. Cookies are nice.
The game/movie is funny because Manny saves a child to something that primarily hunted and killed mamoths to extinction. Strange how the second movie claims mamoths are extinct. Hmmmmm.
The “big turtle” boss is actually a glyptodont, a giant Ice Age-era armadillo from South America. I’m not trying to seem pedantic, it’s just super weird that this game has two bosses that are completely different giant armadillos.
Heh, you should try the Ice Age 2 game for the gba, it's actually a surprisingly good puzzle game where you play as the three main characters. It even has actual bosses.
Flippin heck I completely missed this one even though I ended up with Patron of the Week at the end of it! Truly, I don’t think this mammoth’s actions would hold up in court if he was questioned on his senseless murder...
Funnily enough, I've played Ice Age 2 on the GBA.... and man does it seem a lot better. Though it's been a while. It's a nice puzzle game, using the main trios abilities to get out of the levels and save animals. Remember it being pretty fun.
Honestly it's a pretty cute and fun game for a kid. Completely forgot about its existence until this video though, so probably says alot about how memorable it is.
"Who would make a movie about a toaster? That would be ridiculous!" Me: **Glances at Sony who once made a terrible movie about Emojis** Yeah...who would I wonder....
Gosh, I had this game back in the say but the only thing I remember about it was how unbelievably LOUD the music was. You had to turn the volume down to practically zero. Thanks for the reminder though, Lonely Goomba!
I checked wikipedia, but there's no article on the Cookieceros, which means only one thing. This video must be from the future, when such a page exists!
A new Ice Age game has been announced out of the blue, I wouldn't be surprised if the developers forgot to announce it, and only remembered it existed because of this video
