And I also cry at the episode Icy night 1 cuz I felt outrageously sad & furious seeing the innocent bear got ripped off and being picked up by that stupid programmer. Oooooh I was mad and I cried🌝all he wanted to do was ride his vacuum and had fun
I absolutely loved watching we bare bears. The show made me feel comfortable, if that makes sense. It was just so quirky and odd that it just felt right. Seeing you make a video about this show just reminded me how much I love this show
Ice Bear really has a well-written past. At first, he came off as a shy, bear with very little words said, but once I saw his origin story, it all made sense.
This show is a really good comfort show. It honestly just made me feel really cozy and relaxed and I loved it. Ice Bear was always my favorite. I need to watch this show again its been a while.
Yeah same! Ice Bear is my favorite as well! The show isn't super complex or amazing but it's trying to be a simple and wholesome show and I think that it's really good at doing that!
So dimitri Martin roles up to the studio, records one or two lines per episode in a monotone voice (because that’s what everybody loves) and he’s the most popular character on his show. Good work if you can get it.
I’ve always thought this. The writers love each bear and clearly put their heart into each of them. But Ice Bear is so different from the others in that, while he’s the most random, he also has the most rigid personality and it presents obstacles in writing him. He has the most defining backstory and everything about him does have some explanation that must ALWAYS be accounted. And when the writers overcome them, it comes out so nicely that it seems the writers put just a little more heart into him specifically.
I love Ice Bear and his origin story. It sucks that they introduced the fact that Alanna, From Icy Nights, was Yuri’s daughter and then NEVER DID ANYTHING WITH IT. It is so damn frustrating not knowing what happened with Alanna and Yuri before the show got canceled :(
0:26 in that episode, basically all Ice Bear does is set a bear robot on the loose 😂 If you pay attention to the background, laters he’s reading the news about a huge robot bear destroying the town🤣
What’re your thoughts on We Baby Bears? I thought it was adorable and fun, but kinda unremarkable and formulaic. Good, but not really a great follow up to We Bare Bears. 7/10
We bare bears is a great show that am sure a lot of kids enjoyed(so sad it had to end), for me it gave a perception of america that's actually peaceful and not all the gang shit.
Ya know, I have never watched the show, yet somehow Ice Bear feels like such a mood to me. At times he can be cool, at times he can be weird, but mostly, he can be Ice Bear. Plain and simple. Also 0:36 💯💯
Yeah, you're right, that arc offered sooo many posibilities to reveal more of his past, connecting it with Yuri and Jana, after all these years I still want to know their lore. Also, what did he do after he and Yuri were separated.
@@martaygarcia7444 okay I did some research and Yana (not jana) is ice bears ex, according to google they used to live a life of action but due to an incident they broke up it won't specify what the incident was. After Yuri let go of ice bear Ice bear met three edgy teens / kids and they caused trouble soon after they decided to break a lot of stuff in a bakery while ice bear was going to break the cashier he saw a photo of the store owner and his family it reminded him of Yuri and he has a flash back during said flash back Ice bear promised Yuri to always be kind to others, so ice bear stopped and didnt break it. Long story short ice bear left the kids/teens and went on his own path after an undisclosed amount of time ice bear met grizzly and panda at a train track seeing they were about to get hit by a train he decided to save them.
Although he is probably the one with the most exaggerated personality out of the trio weirdly I see a lot of myself in him. Except that this bear is probably 10 times more skillful than I am.
I started watching this show around the time where I started losing interest in cable television because I couldn’t watch it as frequently, but from the short time that I knew Ice Bear, I adopted his whole personality. Now, I do that all the time when I like characters, and it never sticks for long, but I will forever occasionally refer to myself in the third person because of a cartoon polar bear.
Some great clips of the Greatest Bear. My favourite one though is when he presents himself to Grizz and Panda, resplendent in his pinny and headband, and says "I woke up like this..... but why?" and they both just don't understand him at all. He questions the enactments of everyday, is meta, and the futility of life, all in one sentence, which had me howling with laughter. It's a very, very special show, full of thought, care, subtle humour and hidden amusing references, like Ice Bear staring at a wanted poster of himself in the background, and social commentary, with a simple yet beautiful design. Perfect really, just like Ice Bear. As an INTJ, I can relate to him in some aspects, although sadly I'm not a Ninja master, although I do great Ninja moves when putting washing outside to make it more interesting.
I was rewatching the episode chole and I’ve bear the other day and the scene where Ice bear was staring at the alligator on the bus my partner just says “Ice bears found kinship” had me rolling lol
