***** super mario music is never as good, the only songs just as good is the final boss theme for bowsers inside story and Forest maze, and maybe some in Super Paper mario the best game ever made by nintendo!
While the bass line happens to be similar, and the pad in the background throughout much of the song happens to sound like Who Is It, the actual song Ice Cap is based on is a then-unreleased track by the Jetzons called Hard Times. So while it’s true that Michael Jackson did do some of the tracks (ex: Carnival Night) Ice Cap isn’t one of them.
+SpyroCoolLP no, it has nothing to do with any MJ song. Brad Buxter originally composed the song back in the 80's for his band the Jetzons. It was called Hardtimes but was never released. He reworked it into a eurodance track for Sonic 3 after Micheal Jacksons music was pulled from the game due to a certain scandal.
HaggisNoodles lol stop. Roger Hector the Executive Coordinator for Sonic the Hedgehog 3 and General Manager of Sega Technical Institute already stated that they where removed and it created huge issue. Why do you think that there are like 9 people credited with the music? Normally just one person composes the soundtrack but obviously they needed new songs and where running up on deadlines so they hired a bunch of people to get it done.
Ripper Roo Reviews I have to disagree. This was one of the easier levels but it was also one of my favorites. Loved the atmosphere and music for it. As for hard levels I would have to say Launch Base at least in the original Sonic 3 levels though the full game has harder levels after it like Sandopolis and of course the Death Egg itself. Carnival Night can also be tough if you don't know the trick that you can press up and down on the d-pad while on the stationary drums to move them since you have to do that at one point in order to progress.
@@DaveMorrowMusic "Sonic 3's Ice Cap Zone theme is based on that of a then-unreleased song called "Hard Times" by the Jetzons. Both songs are composed by Brad Buxer." -Inter Net (2023-2023)
I remember being a kid id listen to ice cap and other music id find relaxing as id walk outside at night and id just enjoy the stars and the relaxing feeling id get.
Thanks alot for the feedback ! Glad you like it, I didnt make the logo myself, found it on google. About the polish, It's weird while i was producing the track i was sure it is the other way around. Stay tuned, more Sonic stuff coming pretty soon.
This sounds almost too much like a... remix. Kinda strange, but I liked what you did with the Hydrocity Zone remix. Sounded like an original song. Still a good remix tho.
SEGA should hire you to do some of the soundtrack for their 2018 Sonic movie that their making with Sony, I think your remixes would be good music for the trailers, have you ever considered doing that, if so, let me know.
Who were the 60 goddamn people that disliked this?!!How can someone feel Negative of this?Oh God,which world am i living in that have such weird people??!!!!
Kita Hoshi No not really.. in fact, Smooth Criminal was the inspiration of making Ice Cap. if you arent 100% tone deaf. you can probably hear it but in a higher BPM and very slightly diffrent... so Nuh.. its not COMPLETELY diffrent xP
I love your remixes. I listen to a lot of sonic remixes, and I definitely think your the best at it. You seem to keep the main feel/elements of the original pieces without deviating too much, but with a great, energetic twist. I like that. Green Hill is my personal favourite.
Well, you've done a great work. You did just what you wanted, a dance remix done equilibrately. And it's great. It's the perfect mix into dance music and dreamy music. Hope SEGA someday make a contest for fans to send remixes, arrange and original music with credit and awards for the winners.
I love all the original sonic music but icecap- even though it's one of the simplest- has one of the most amazing melodies and arpeggios I've ever heard in my life. This song will forever be in my soul.
I was just saying that writing "Sonic the Hedgehog 3" (a very good game) using the font used for "SONIC THE HEDGEHOG" logo (the bad game, not the original "Sonic the Hedghog") was jokingly offensive. I should have said "innapropriate" maybe? That was just a joke... and I don't get how jokes could get that far without being understand... By the way, I'm french, hence my (somewhat) broken English at times.
Hey bro! Original music is by Brad Buxer, he appears in the game credits, and tha original song is Hard Times by The Jetzones, where Brad was keyboardist
Sonic is my entire life, loving this remix man. No matter how bad its reputation sinks outside the community, this franchise will always glow within the community. Sonic isn't dead
Brad Buxer was responsible for the unreleased track by the Jetzons and Michael Jackson was contributing to Sonic 3. This song right here is my favorite track of the franchise.
Yes i did this remix because you suggested. Same with Chemical Plant. I will do Lava Reef as well, i'm working on in right now. But after that i'll definitly need to take a break from sonic =)
That Ice Cap Zone Remix is Awesome! Is Better That the Original when Brad Buxer from Team Michael Jackson, and sounds Like a Unreleased New Wave song By The Jetzons "Hard Times" in the 1980s
I'd kill for this to be the music that opens the Sonic sequel. Have this start up while all the logos are up and open with him snowboarding down a mountain.
Hey, I'm making a video on music from different video games and I just came across your remixes. Would you mind if I used this or one of your other sonic remixes for the Sonic section of my video? I'll definitely credit you if you allow me to. :)
Esta canción es simplemente hermosa, recuerdo lo mucho que disfruté esa musica cuando jugué en Ice Cap por primera vez. Sonic descendiendo por el nevado en un Snowboard era genuinamente epico...
Need to get the information right here Brad Buxer scored this theme. Its still an MJ track but Brad did it he remixed Hard Times from the Jetzons band. He was also member of that band.
thanks to the soundcloud link i found out my 6 year old self had made a soundcloud account.... i can see how my taste in music has changed since then (i found "bob's sexy rap 30000" D: )
I remember when I was younger and I first listened to this... I actually thought it was from 06. (I didn't read the title card correctly) That's how good this is.
Everyone says the original song was Michael Jackson but there is an 80's song that is literally this song with lirics. Hard times by the Jetzons. I noticed while writing the comment that you did mention it in the description. So I guess I'm just stating the obvious. xD
Muchos piensan que esta canción esta inspirada en Smooth Criminal de Michael Jackson pero no en realidad este basada en la canción de The Jetzons se llama Hard Times
Thats a great remix so far, but unfortunately, i found that it was a bit dull, idk how to say "surenchère" in english, so i would say it was lacking some "outbidding" considering i couldn't figure it out a better word for it.
+Barple Bapkins He uploaded it in 2012. It wasn't discovered that Hard Times was actually the base of Ice Cap Zone until 2013. So it was thought to be Smooth Criminal and Who Is It? combined until the discovery of Hard Times blew that myth away.
