Golly, this video helped me feel better about having too much equipment myself - apparently mine is nothing. (: You could equip a whole expedition of 3-4 people with all this.
Noticed you have the micro traxion on a d locker. It is wise to keep that on an oval because under severe loading a d shape can cause the side plates to bend or cause other damage to the device. You shouldn't ever have a shock load on a haul device but maybe if you use it rope soloing or something. Nice video brother hope the trip was awesome
@@ryantilley9063 Right on, thank you for the content. I thought a nice follow-up to this video would be how do you decide what to take on a climb. And what I mean by that is when you're standing at the base of a climb what are you thinking about when you rack up. What are you looking for what are you thinking about do you take draws instead of Alpine draws, how many screws do you take or do you take all of them every time that kind of stuff
Thanks man, no I’m not sponsored by any company, that would be a dream come true though! I just really like the gear BD and OR make so that why I have some much of that stuff
The edelrid sendero is really good for all around stuff, also the petzl Aquila or sitta. The black diamond technician is a really good one that I used for a bunch of years.
Gizmo's Adventures a full pack with a rope probably weighs about 20-25lbs, so it’s actually pretty manageable, especially if you get all the lightest weight gear
@@ryantilley9063 thanks Ryan. I just probably need to do more strength exercises nowadays. its getting tougher to carry those loads but i still manage OK so far .😎
