If you had told me in about 1993, that someday Ice Cube would be in movies your kids will watch, and it will turn out that he is an awesome Dad who will raise a respectful kid like this I would have said you're insane! Very cool that Cube has done it "His way" and as a Dad myself, I give him much respect for raising what appears to be a great kid.

Straight Outta Compton is a great example of the biopic formula done right and not made boring. Like Cube said, it goes further and delves into deeper issues like institutional racism and police violence. It's as much a story about Compton and LA at the time as it is NWA.

Crazy af. Dre and Cube grew up regular like we all did. Hanging out at each others houses and 30 something years later. They still together doing big things it's crazy.

He really nailed Cubes mannerisms and the way he speaks. Definitely acted well in character as his dad as you can hear and see compared to his actual voice and mannerisms here. He is more shy and reserved compared to how he plays Cube in the film with confidence and attitude. So that is good acting when he can emulate his father so well.

Saying O'Shea is well spoken sounds inconsiderate because why is it surprising for him to speak like that. It's all to do with perception and prejudgments. We live in a world where the media portrays the black youth as loud and ignorant, but when a black child speaks in a full grammatically correct sentence and says "yes sir/no sir" it's seen as "well mannered" and "well spoken", not a bad thing but it's basically a backhanded compliment. It's like saying you speak well for people of your color. "well" automatically implies a comparison, so you're comparing his speaking to your past judgements of other people (maybe not just young black actors, but young people in general). As a child growing up people would tell my mother I was so well behaved for being so young, of course my mom knew they were really saying I'm so well behaved for being a young black child. I know this sounds like I'm ranting about race, but complimenting O'Shea for being well spoken is kinda about race.

You can tell that Cube is really proud of his son - as he should be! O'Shea seems like a really nice, talented and well-spoken young man. I'd love to see them in a movie together - wishing O'Shea much success in the future.

Watched Another Interview W Ice Cube And His Son O'Shea (Love That Name). To See Ice Cube Trying Not To Cringe Like Any Other Parent When Their Child Is Speaking Made Me Smile.
