OMG !!!!!! I saw this movie yesterday and all I can say is FUCKING PHENOMENAL ! From beginning to end everything was so entertaining . The actors did a hella good job and everything was on point !!!! I'm getting chills just thinking about how fucking good this movie was , so if you want to see it PLEASE DO SO !! Rest In Peace Eazy E
It really was amazing. I got fucking chills like 5 times watching the movie. I couldn't stand still I was dancing and laughing the whole movie . Definitely best movie of the year!
+damonika16 thats really the thing that pissed me off..eazy e was the real gangsta out of them all and they made him look goofy..i been a fan before this movie was even talked about..check out my channel
THE BOSS i understand that but from what ive seen he was a OG outside the movie.. aint nothin wrong with bein goofy but they made it look like he was always like that its hard for new fans to take him serious thats all im sayin
Things the movie missed out on -Eazy e vs early death row -Eazy e discovering bone thugz -Mc ren's side -How dr dre beat his women other than that it was good I'd see it 10 more times -
Well...i hope they don't play Eazy out like TLC did Left Eye. Considering the fam has been involved, i hope they show his good cause i know they'll highlight his bad.
The BEST BIOPIC EVER! I respect Ice Cube and Dr Dre so much more now seeing their story.. They were definitely smart.. Glad they are still making moves!
It was a good movie, but far from "their story". It made Dre look like a superhero, when in actuality he was getting pimp slapped label to label. Cube's story was quite on-point. A lot of key people were written out, a lot of details were inaccurate. Nothing done in the movie was false? lol A LOT of it was false - Eazy downgrading houses, Alonzo dissing the music, the way eazy met Jerry, the way Eazy was setup (dre called him not Suge). I could go on.
Can't front on this film. It was the shit. I heard Strait Outta Compton in 6th grade and was hooked immediately. I'm 35 now. I always new Cube was a dope lyricist but never new how smart the dude was. For him to decline that money they were waving in his face and believe in himself that much to actually remove himself from that super group of established talent... it's fuckin mind blowing. It takes a tremendous amount of courage and foresight to pull off what he did. All things considered, Cube is probably the main reason that hip-hop has transcended so many different eras. Dude is a genius.
Saw this movie last night. I think every head in the theatre was bopping. I left out saying, "man, I wished it was a little longer. Enjoyed it that much
Straight Outta Compton is the best biopic that I've ever seen. Round of applause to Cube, Dre, Gary Gray, Universal, and everybody else who was involved in the movie!
no afense but no because if public enemy gets a movie cypress hill will want one then d12 then one direction then 5sos then greenday and rock shit. it probably will happen and be really dope
I think everybody in that room rolled their eyes when Rosenburg was like "We lived through this, we lived this culture"......Uh NO! Being a hip hop fan does not equate to you being part of hip hop culture.
Jordan Bolduc Oh you poor misinformed little white boy. Hip Hop culture goes far beyond music. Please educate yourself before you further continue to show your stupidity.
Have to give props to Cube. I remember an interview about 2 years ago with Rosenberg and Cypha talking about how he wanted to make this NWA movie a reality. finally happened and seems like a masterpiece from the impression i'm getting
Not a fan of rap music, but I love learning the history of artists from all genre and I heard so many good things about this movie, so I bought the Blu Ray knowing nothing about NWA, and I'm so glad I did it. One of the best movies I've seen in a long time, and I downloaded the Straight Outta Compton album immediately after I saw it.
Jason Kuy It was a great history lesson to learn. It's a shame that the things that happened in Compton are still happening somewhere and it's a pity people in politics were too busy demonising the NWA to pay attention to what they were trying to say. I'm still not a big fan of rap music, I was brought up on rock n' roll, but the Straight Outta Compton album is a real gem.
Ben Well I learnt a lot of lessons, first and foremost to be more grateful about where I grew up when they're rougher places in the world like Compton and asshole police officers harassing people for no reason whatsoever. I hope things are better in Compton now.
This film was great. It brought me way back to those years remembering. The cast was great in that each character was portrayed to perfection. Cube, Eazy, Dre, Ren, Yella, Suge, Snoop, Pac. It also gives the younger generation an insight on who really paved the way and what it took to get to where we are today. The struggle is REAL and we should ALL appreciate these pioneers. I am a TRUE FAN of them ALL. Always have and always will be. Thanks for bringing me back. Will probably go see it again today!!!
Dang, Ebro. You treated po' Laura and Rosenberg like they didn't even matter. Anyway, I love Ice Cube so much. And look at O'Shea Jr. lookin' fine just like his fine ass daddy. He made his father so proud. 10 more days and I get to see the movie. I can't wait. My dad and I are gonna go see it early so there won't be nobody shushin' they kids and bumpin' up against my seat. My favorite NWA song is probably Dopeman because when you add that extra bass it be knockin' hard as fk, but I love Alwayz into Somethin too. Huge fan over here. #anditsstillallgood
I swear to god! On everything I love... THIS IS THE GREATEST MOVIE EVER!!! This movie will put you on an emotional roller coaster bruh.. Nigga I cried tears of laughter and sadness. Literally had chills going down my spine after watching this.. It was so good, I might watch it another 20 times to get over it. I never felt like this about a movie since Scarface. The GOAT of all movies.
YES!!This movie is EVERYTHING. Took me way back. It is a must see, and yes I had to hold my tears back several times#ThaTotalTruth Thanks for sharing with us!!

this was theeeee best fucken biopic I've seen since notorious!!! hands down. everyone of these young men did one hell of a job! O'SHEA did a great job playing his dad and Jason did GREAT playing eazy! I loved it and encourage everyone to see it.
This is going one off the best movies of 2015. These guy's changed to world just like the Beatles back in the 60's. .N.W.A was Kick ass. back in the day and us old guy's remember it like yesterday. I'm glad they stayed true to all the guy's. I lived in Long Beach back then it was a Bitch the movie just hit's some of the shit that went down.. Loved the movie.
This movie was DOPE!!!! O'Shea Jr, KILLED IT! WOW. The whole cast just KILLED IT! I was so blown away how great this film was. And it has been ages since I have even listened to NWA. Loved it! Go see it! You won't regret it! BYE FELICIA! Btw, my last name is O'Shea. When I was kid, it was Ice Cube who made me feel my name was cool. :)
I saw the movie and all I can say is movie of the year! I was born in Compton and was about 10 years old when nwa was starting, to us it was out of this world that a group was successful rapping about things no one cared about. Now as an adult and having moved far away this movie took me back to this time and what a great time to show this because 30 years later we're still seeing police brutality so we really haven't evolved. The movie was honestly and heart felt I really recommend this movie.
Dre & Snoop tried to get nipsey to do it but nipsey didn't wanna be in snoops shadows. Critics say The dude that played snoop did an incredible imitation
to be honest.(IF YOU SEEN THE MOVIE)...i think a re-make of the music video ''straight outta Compton'' with the same actors would be incredibly awesome!!!
I saw this the movie with my younger brother. The movie was amazing!! N.W.A was the originators of Hardcore Gangster Rap. Please see this movie! It kicks major ass!!
In my view this is definitely the movie of the year. Although they missed a lot from the actual story and snubbed a few main starts. Putting 10 years into a 2 in half hour movie was pretty impressive. I was completely surprised and taken with the cameo appearances and taken back to so many things I vividly remember seeing on the news. This movie definitely felt like a trip down memory lane. Some of the young talent definitely deserve and Oscar. My vote would got to Jason Mitchell.
@18:00 Damn! Ebro took it back to the 'Jukebox' cable channel starting back in the late 80s! (Tha Box- look it up lil kids/young adults)... calling a number from the non-hosted channel, paying something like $2.99 to play a music video they had on in the line-up, punching in the code... you could even see ppl dial the code on the screen, sometimes you'd be watching the same video over and over cause ppl kept paying to see that video get played!!! Crazy good times!!! NO HD BACK IN THE DAY!!!
