This award show was probably the first and last time we ever got to see legitimately every Rapper from the 90’s that were in their prime there in attendance. Like from Mobb Deep, to Nas, Biggie, Dr Dre, DJ Quik, Snoop, MC Eiht, Bone Thugs N Harmony, OutKast, Da Brat, etc.

Suge was wrong but from 6:36 to 6:50 & 7:03 to 7:17 , Suge wasn't lying either about Puff overshadowed his artists. I never forgot what Mark Curry said in his book "Dancing With The Devil" that Puff charged his artists $30,000 to appear in their videos. Puff even charged his artists for using his Bentley in the videos without their artists knowing. I went WHAT?!!! Then that famous argument .Puff had with The Lox on Angie Martinez show when The Lox said "The only person that benefited from the success is you Puffy". Then let's not forgot how Puffy ripped off his artists. Then Gene Deal exposed how Puff ignored the warnings of threats against Biggie which made people think Puff might had set up Big's early demise. So sadly Suge knew what was Puffy's intentions all along.
@Lord_Bibulous

Puffy is a scumbag, no debate there. But Suge being a hater doesn't mean he was right. Cause Suge had no problem putting his fat head front and center on Death Row promo materials. Had no problem putting his name and his name only on the bottom. Like he actually rapped a verse or produced a song. Outside of Biggie, all those Bad Boy artists have faded into obscurity. Man hip hop was changed when they had that secret meeting in the early 90s and corrupted the music wit death and destruction, by people who hated the positive direction it was going.

Cause NY always felt like they were the best, they only saw themselves…if you weren’t from NY you were considered “trash” in their terms which haunted them later because the South took over later on

Screw the drama...let's watch in awe at all of these classic hip-hop acts. When we say the 90s were a superior time for hiphop....each and every artist mentioned here is cemented in that energy and foundation...and this was just mid 90s before Canibus, Big Pun, Dmx, Jay Z, Cash Money, No Limit, Emenim ECT. Great times😊
