@@Jonas-cf4oi watcher is also inherently a bit boring with how it's usually the same thing between runs, so it's pretty lucky that prismatic shard is easiest to take on Watcher
Timestamps for when Baalor picks up the cards in the thumbnail (Blizzard and Defragment x2): Defragment #1: (23:58) (Floor 14 Combat) Blizzard: (34:11) (Floor 19 Combat) Defragment #2: (1:54:28) (Act 4 Shop) Feels a bit chilly in the Spire today!
Yes, the card reward from tiny house affects your rare card chance. Rare card chance only resets when you see a rare card in a card reward. Since you get your card reward from bosses before the relic, that means tiny house will slightly boost the rare card chance for your next act if picked as a boss relic. Interestingly, because the guaranteed rare card reward from a boss resets the rare card chance, that means under normal circumstances you will never see a rare card from tiny house.
Everytime I watch Baalor to learn I see things like "buy a potion to help beat the boss" and he opens it and gets Electrodynamics and Creative AI. Then I do it and get hello world, machine learning and self repair and promptly die.
Tiny house swap is like a 4/10, not good but there are way worse things like Ecto, Sozu, Busted Crown. At the beginning of the run the boni combine to a solid starting bonus, and Defend+/Strike+ play.
idk if I overvalue reprogram but it's an (almost) unconditional scaling for defect, I know context matters just like pommel strike vs quick slash but we go crazy for unconditional scaling in silent and ironclad.. defect gets it pretty conveniently and it's not being used at all, would ditching orb based gameplay really that punishing when you can scale indefinitely?
Also half of the card choises are orb based so you can be very unlucky with your card rewards But it is totally doable and maybe i should pick it sometimes, i am just afraid of losing focus 😅
The problem with taking a floor 0 reprogram on a streak like this is that it is less consistent than orb options. With some defect cards it has amazing potential, but you have to find those quickly if you don't want to be burried. On the other hand it is much more easy to find orb synergies in a way or another. You could go lighting or frost, or both, or dark... and then complement your deck with what it's missing. You're never sure to see anything in this game, so having more build options is good ;)
Static Discharge is so good, because it incentivizes the right playstyle, of blocking "just" enough, not bothering to block everything. And that's already what you should be doing anyways (most of the time, during the beginning).
for the busted crown i was thinking because of that comment, either make it -1 but stuff that increase card rewards dont work anymore or keep it -2 but increases the likelyhood of finding such things ? or make it -2 for ennemies fight but not event fights and such
I’d never be able to talk myself out of on sale defrag in an orb deck. I get that gearing up for specific fights is important, but power pots can whiff so I have trouble understanding this move
@MeczennikFitnessu calling bell establishes a boss relic as being worth 3 relics. Lets suppose you pick bell War paint is a common that upgrades 2. Old coin is 300 gold. Plus you still have an uncommon relic. Tiny house is 50 gold 5 hp a potion and a card those equal out to about 250 gold. So roughly one rare relic. The upgrade we can think of as half a common, so bell is better then tiny house by an uncommon relic and half a common. Tiny house is very underpowered. Adding 100 or 125 gold of value would help bridge the gap.
@@KoalavaterYes. Just like how Thunder Strike hits once per lightning orb channeled this combat, Blizzard deals 2 (3 if upgraded) base damage for every frost orb channeled.
