With the help of videos like this, I hope to be able to make a shirt as amazing as this. Those lines both the dark and radiant ones make this one of my favorite tie-dye shirts to date.

Regrets?! This looks awesome! I swear every mandala I've tried has come out awful, I'd love to be able to do this! I think I need to find some longer hemostats maybe. Dark lines are a terrific idea!
Thank you so much! 😀 I mainly use 10 and 12 inch hemostats, and I use ones that have a long teeth area. Some hemostats are long, but the teeth part is short.
I like the crisp lines that the hemostats make in the pattern. I have to ask, since you use so many different colors how many dyes to you have on hand at any given time?
Thank you! Oh my, I have no idea, I've never counted them. I have a bunch though. Since I do have so many dyes, I normally don't buy them in huge quantities. Most of mine are 2 ounce containers.
This one was a Gildan Ultra Cotton shirt. I use a lot of Gildan and Port and Company brand shirts. For designs that have pleats or definite folds, I prefer to use something that isn't super soft. I get more crisp folds. For more free form designs, ring spun or really soft shirts work great. It's just a personal preference though.
I'm trying to find those new adjustable size colanders you've been using. I think you said it was a TikTok shop but I don't use TikTok at all so I am in the dark!
The metal one that I use I purchased from Amazon. It is a little deeper than the 2 gray ones I got from the TikTok shop, and it's better for larger projects. TJ Maxx usually has at least 1 option available each time I go there.
@@denisef1684 Me too! The TikTok ones are great for smaller shirts and items, but the Amazon and TJ Maxx ones work best for larger items and larger shirts.
