Good fishing video. Pro tip: chase Brookies shallow during the colder months. They tend to stay deep during warmer months due to trying to stay cool. Keep it up!
Great video!!! Those trout had beautiful colors! Nice underwater footage also! You the man ! How cool cooking right there on the ice! Thanks for the frequency of your videos 🎣🎣🎣
I’ve always hated ice fishing Bass’N’Trout, but after this video I may have to give it another try! I just got back from Oregon and people are still icing Chromers.. would love to get out there to catch some King Salmon.
BTY here in this part of Canada we get more brookies in the shallow water during ice fishing...I guess it is about the temperature difference, i.e.. sun warmth.
Love each one of your videos and can't wait to ice fish. Here, in Quebec (Canada), still no ice thick enough to fish through. :( Seeing the trouts chasing the lure....WOW !
Nice video! Love watching fishing when I'm not fishing hahaha. A quick point which I'm sure you figured out, when brook trout fishing in the winter it's much better to fish really shallow. Brookies love that 1 to 3ft of water! Good fishing man and tight lines
WOW! What a great video, those brookies are so beautiful!! It’s amazing that you didn’t even look cold no gloves pants got wet! I love your channel! Thanks for sharing
Lol this guy is hilarious. “(Gulp) I know these have a strong scent so they better work!” “Whoever was here before me KINDA knew what they were doing” of course, we can all tell you’re a noob.😂 Fillet job I got, “didn’t do too bad, got a lot of meat off of it.” Oh man!! You are golden!! Anyone who has filleted a trout can tell a botched job. And then the lasagna comes out of no where. 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 And then the but hook. Oh boy!!!
Another awesome video brother ! Love the live take shots. Beautiful colors on those brookies. I use those gulp minnows a lot. Great couple hours fishing/catching ! Fish on !
Nice little colored up brookies! Last winter me and an acquaintance nailed a bunch of rainbows ice fishing in a lake on the east side of the front range with a few about 18" and yes I did keep a few. It was some the easiest trout fishing I ever had. I had a couple times I didn't even get a chance to sit down on my cooler before the rod was bending. I know it's not always that way but with a little help from a kind local we had a great time
Yeah man! Brookies love to go up shallow where they can pin bait easy. They also love bluff walls near shore. But almost always near shore. Even Lakers can go shallow. I caught a 17" brookie last year in a foot of water under the ice. Hope your ice fishing this winter is safe and fun!
Hurray for ice fishing!!! My lady and I went ice fishing today and caught some brookies through the ice too. Not near that big though, I haven't been able to find anywhere that holds bigger ones.
Your comment at 12:07. But you did, next time leave the heads on. The best part, Filet Mignon is the cheek behind the eye of the fish! Believe me you'll thank me!
