Join Daryl on a day off from guiding as he heads out ice fishing for Giant Lake Trout on Lake Athapapuskow Manitoba at Bakers Narrows Lodge. Daryl catches a giant 38" lake trout on a deadline to start the day off. Right afterwards he lands a 41" giant on a Rapala Rippin Rap in size 07 chrome mossback shiner. It was a good fight! Big lakers at the bottom of the hole can be tricky sometimes getting them to turn up. Definitely didn’t want to lose that one

@@darylgilbertoutdoors Countless people tell me that my 10" auger and hole is overkill. I've also watched some of the same people lose fish at their 8" hole. Makes a huge difference for large walleye and Lakers

Yea we won’t fish without the 10” augers , you really need the 10 for big pike, walleye, and lake trout
