The whole afternoon we didn't even do any schoolwork just watched the entire game

One of the best hockey games I've ever watched. So exciting.

That game belonged to the US but they thought they had it in the bag with just over a minute left in the 3rd period. Never let your guard down when the gold medal is a stake, especially when you're playing against Canada. Hockey runs through their veins. They won't be beat so easily.

I remember waking up at 4am here in Australia to watch the game. I had to work the next day and I didn't know much about the Women's team but I wasn't about to miss the game. Sadly I decided to go back to bed with a few minutes left in the third thinking Canada had no chance. Woke up the next morning and figured I'd see how much the U.S. won by. Biggest regret I skipped the end of this game :(

Watched this at school while being an exchange student in canada, coming from a country that doesn't know ice hockey. It was dope.

I remember back in fifth grade watching this in class and when Canada scored in overtime, we all threw our papers on the ground and screamed in victory! Go Canada go!

I was listening online and when I tuned in Canada was losing I was like noooooooooo then they came back I was SOOOOOOOOOOOO happy!

I had forgotten how amazing this game was, put a lil tear in my eye seeing it again!

Love our woman, as a man, I watched till 2-0, went back to my service truck, listening on the radio, in shambles, drove to customers house, suddenly tied 2-2, sat in the driveway, or car park for the English, listening on the radio, when we won, went crazy.

I'm American, so I was pretty upset when the USA lost this one, but it was a great game played by 2 great teams. Canada earned that victory

It's a game of inches. She should have skated with the puck and score in a open net. But, she got greedy. Canada always finds a way to win. Four straight and all were amazing. This is up there with the first one in the States in 2002 when the refs tried to make the states win with 11 penalties to Canada... We still won :)

I was watching this live during school. I was in physics class and feeling so disappointed because Canada was down by 2 so i turned it off when the 3rd periods started. Next thing I know we have the projector set up in the cafeteria during lunch and canada tied up the game and FREAKING WON!!!! Best moment of the Olympics for me. The whole school was watching and cheering. They even put on the anthem after the bell rang for class

The Men's competition was boring, you know something's wrong when the semi finals are more hyped up than the gold medal game. This made up for it

I remember jumping and spilling my beer when they scored their first goal less then 4 mins left in the game, never lost faith, that why I love hockey so much, but even more, I am so proud to Canadian and love my country...wooweeeee!!!

And to think Hayley Wickenheiser played that game (and series) with a broken foot. Amazing woman, amazing hockey player. It will sad not to see her at the next olympics.

We all watched this in the gym of our school

It was a weekday afternoon. I was home as most of my classes that year were online anyway, and my dad was laid off temporarily by his long-time job. They usually did that with him every year around the Holidays for tax purposes, but for him not to be back by February was brutal. I remember watching the game with my dad, but with the game 2-0 late in the third, he gave up and went from a nap. I woke him up screaming when Canada scored their first goal, but he still stayed in his bed. By the time the game was tied though, he reluctantly got up and went to watch the overtime with me. And the smile on his face when MPP scored that OT goal was priceless: it's still one of my favorite moments with him ❤️

Looking at this if by some miraculous reason miss Poulan scores the winner in the next Olympics in the same dramatic fashion then I will hope that she is then addressed as Dame Marie-Phillipe Poulan...has a nice ring to it to .......

I think that if USA wins the next olympic gold medal, I would be a little down, but after watching our women win 4 in a row and our men win 2, i have prepared myself for someone else to win. However, I still say GO CANADA!
