@@MatthewDiFazio Sure! I use Audeze LCD-XCs planar studio referencing headphones, all the time for work and found the ATTTI T10 to be some great and inexpensive, planar IEMS to use in tandem. The LCD-XCs are great but notoriously heavy. You’ll definitely take breaks working with those studio referencing planars. The ARTTI T10s with some Dakoni foam tips, turns into some little LCD-XCs. With some 50hz roll off her and a 10k boost there to linearlize their response to match, the T10s amazingly become perfect, little, inexpensive, planar referencing IEM companions, for my LCD-XCs. Definitely love to hear your take on these sneaky, plainly shelled, inexpensive little overachievers.
@@codee-music I really enjoy the LCD-XC, so this peaked my interest even more! I’ll circle back to this comment the second I’m able to get those in my ears! Thanks again for the recommendation, I look forward to talking more about these with you!
I think the issue may be source/song discrapancy since when I when to demo the monarch mk3 at hangout the treble is terrible in that its foggy and not precise at all. Prismatica while the treble isnt as forward has both the precision and the ability to sustain the treble when needed. Personally if I wanted good EST treble in the price range the I/O volare is significantly better tuned for vocals and the top end showcases how fast and precise EST can get. That being said its hard to buy something more expensive that is better than the prismatica to my ears since its rare that you get a warm slammy set that has the detail and precision that I want.
Great review, Matthew! If you can help settle what I'll be purchasing from Bloom, I'm torn between these or the 7th Acoustics Supernova. I am rocking Tanchjim Origins and Dunu Da Vinci's and I'm looking for something fun that is "end-game" priced for what I can afford. Love me some bass but don't want anything that is going to take away from everything else.
Ayyy first comment... quick question these vs the empire ears heros found a good deal on ebay for the heros but they are getting old and this section of audio is blowing up! Good video thanks
Thanks for watching! Great question - admittedly, it’s been a little while since I’ve heard the Hero, but it presents good value on the second hand market at this point in its life cycle. If it’s a really good deal, it could definitely be competitive with Prismatica. However, Hero’s tonal balance was never really for me. I found its treble to be too inconsistent for my preferences. Still an overall solid set, though! Definitely a good comparison between the two, but my preferences reside with Prismatica. May need a comprehensive A/B listening session between the two to be sure.
Hey (Steve here), so the Hero was one of my favorites when it first came out - fast, articulate, and a little bit of fun. I thought it was like a baby Odin. Prismatica is definitely on the same continuum of technical, well-balanced, and a little bit of fun, but I'd say Prismatica has better tonality and musicality and is a little more fun than Hero, while Hero has slightly stronger definition, and maybe feels a little faster. So if you're looking for a more technical set, I'd go with the Hero, but Prismatica is a better all around set. As a random sidenote, I've heard from a couple folks that Hero is "god-tier" for Bluegrass (not a huge Bluegrass fan myself, so I can't really say), so if you listen to a lot of Bluegrass that would be another point for Hero.
Thanks so much both of you, I think around £600 but I am worried they might not be bass enough to tend to prefer a warmer presentation. BTW no idea how your not more popular have been watching more and more of your content over the last few weeks and always super impressed! Tha ks for replying g
