What some folks may not be aware of...well before "The Syndicate" posse-cut and "I'm Your Pusher", Ice dissed L.L. on one of his early joints called "Doggin' The Wax", where he says "The player from L.A. / Cooler than any 'J'". Also, neither Ice nor L. mention this, but they both were part of one of the VH1 Hip-Hop Honors award shows that aired some years ago. I believe they were seated next to each other in the balcony of the venue. There is at least one photo of them choppin' it up. So, it's been all good. How Quest not be knowin' these thangs?

in Hawaii, at Kono's (a restaurant), in the fountain drink area, there is a picture of Ice T (for an iced tea drink) and Ice Cube (for real ice cubes). Kool Moe Dee (Treacherous Three) and (Afrika) Bam(baataa) were both in "Beat Street (1984)." LL Cool J had his movie debut, kinda, in "Krush Groove (1985)," a Warner Brothers film. Ice T were in two Cannon Films' with Turbo and Ozone (Shabba Do).: "Breakin' (1984)" and "Breakin' 2: Electric Boogaloo (1984)." Ice-T's track was "Reckless (aka Combat)" with Chris "The Glove" Taylor. the Poppin' and Lockin' stuff; think of the Re-Run character, from the "What's Happening (Now)" tv series or "Soul Train" (back in the 1970's); dude was known for his dance moves. Long story short, LL Cool J and Ice-T (the O.G.), they are both legends of the game. Roxanne Shante (The Juice Crew) and DJ/record producer Marley Marl vs. UTFO (producers were Full Force; Select Records label); the "Real Roxanne" wars; radio DJ Mr. Magic also played a role. KRS-One ("The Bridge is Over"; Boogie Down Productions) vs. M.C. Shan ("The Bridge") Salt N' Pepa had "Push It"; L'Trimm had "Grab It." Notorious BIG's "Who Shot Ya ?" (Biggie Smalls) vs. (Tu)pac (Shakur)'s "Hit'em Up" or "Against All Odds." Full Force: I remembered hearing them (Full Force) on the (90's Latin freestyle / hip hop) Lisa Lisa and Cult Jam albums and appearing in those 90's "House Party" films, with Kid N' Play. the "New Jack Swing" era (a R&B sub genre: funk, hip-hop and soul)

All of them were my type of music.. I still listen to their music..

I was around then. Up through 1987 NYCNY absolutely dominated rap, and in LA all rappers had was Ice T who wasn't going anywhere. That's who Easy E and everyone was looking to to rep them before they could get lift off. Plus Ice T had to front for gangs too. He had a lot of pressure on him - it was do or die for him.

I only got a chance to see them on a podcast ONCE which was after the George Floyd thing. (If that was even a podcast it may have just been some zoom thing.) But is there any footage of more? I'd love to see those two on a podcast together, especially since i didn't get to see them in concert.
