The foam without the plate looked a little more intense. But if you are going to use the plate, I would absolutely drill those holes out more. And I agree with you. Those adjustment controls would drive me nuts.

@@lkapitan8232 I have a reef octopus 110 classic 110 skimmer. It's undersized for my 120, but it was a freebie from my son-in-law.
