I am utterly grateful for the amazing timing my mom and dad had in allowing me to be born into this world... Born in 1965, I had the pleasures of not only being able to enjoy a safe and happy childhood but to live my teenage and young adult years in the 80s, where the best songs this world has to offer were created. Icehouse will live on in my heart forever as one of the greatest 80s bands. Not sure if I’m alone in this, but I feel that the older I get, the more I seem to appreciate the magic of the music written in the 80s . It’s so damn beautiful.

I am 53 years old and i remember this from my teen years.. I haven t listened to the song for decades , and I am stunned how great the production is considering the age of the song. Well , I guess , when you grow old you can value in a different way music that you think you know very well from the past. Same goes for many other songs of the era , ( not everything of course).Anyway . great tune , great sound !

Born in 66 and to young to watch england win there only world cup , it was made up by living through the 70s , and best of all the 80s , best times ever , gave me my best memories , being at school which i loved , oblivious to anything going on in the world , just getting on with life , the best music and television , so wish i could relive them times and if i had the chance i would take my kids with me to show them how good it was as the world they are being brought into now is full of so many negative things x

When I lived in London in the late 90’s I had a taxi driver all the way from Southgate to London Euston who played this beautiful track on a loop. I’d never heard it before and every time he said sorry should I play anything else I said no keep playing it....since then it’s been a track I keep going back to myself. I love it. I love when random people introduce you good stuff...that’s been a great journey ❤️❤️❤️❤️ thank you Icehouse 🥰

I hear this and I get such a poignant burst of nostalgia, it makes me cry. Transports me back to when I was aged 20. Life was brilliant. Weekends were all about dressing up to the ' new romantic' nines for the clubs and Sunday all day discos. I can still feel the exitement of getting ready to go out, no worries in my world, with my whole life and the promise of a fantastic adventure still ahead of me. I never had a broken heart or gave one, still had all my loved ones round me and was the happiest I have ever been. Wish I could go back and live every precious moment of those years again. We who were having the time of our young lives in the eighties were surely the luckiest of all.
