This waterfall is situated on Oldugell region. Actually someone told me three years ago. I can check and back here to tell you if i find!

Brandon Smith Media Hi! I’ve been studiyng Highlands about 11 months... and definitely the best way to get on Mælifell is take F232. You can take if from diferent ways: 1- I took from Road 36 -> F36 -> F208 (NOT FROM THE SOUTH).... because there’s less rivers in this way ( coming close from Landmmanalaugar, the easyest and most accessible Highlands Place. 2- Or take F-232 from the south ( Ring Road -> Road 208 -> F208 -> F232). You Wil pass through Oldufell mountain and this place on video when i cross this waterfall with the car. ( from there i already saw Mælifell with drone, you will be 1:30 minutes from it). You car must be enough to do it! There rivers are not so deep. Please attention my only advice: The Mælifell is surrounded by a flooded valley, because Myrdaljokull Glacier melting and feeds the Valley. The situation of Valley is unpredictable. ( Note on my video about 04:00) I Crossed this valley easily because, on that period of year ( september early) there wasn’t much water... Please check the level of water when you get there, and if possible go in the morning, ( in the end of day the glacier melts and the water level could be increased, making your back impossible). In conclusion: Go there!!! but be careful. After Mælifell i have back in the way to Emstrur ( there’s a hut there to sleep)... and a beautiful canion also.... the way back to Ring Road take you to Thosmork ( and there’s no big rivers back)... you will be close from Seljalandsfoss actually! Perfect day!!! 🌋

Hi! Actually you not right! All of these roads are allowed to drive. There road are named “ F-ROADS”. Please read more about it!! Off road is completely forbidden 🚫 (out of these demarked paths ) . So if you never been there or just doesn’t know about BUY a TrackBook a map and please study about it! Takk Fyrir and bless!
