I appreciate it. I've actually thought about going back this summer. Iceland is one of the few places that seems to be allowing tourists and since so many of its sites are outside, seems like a great place. It truly is beautiful.

Thanks a bunch! It's such a wonderful place. I went in July and enjoyed 18 hour daylight and lots of green. However it was still windy and cold at certain moments every day. There's really no bad time to visit Iceland but July was great for me.

Thank you, Herman. I'm happy you enjoy the channel. I've never been to the Faroe Islands but looked into going a while ago. It looks beautiful. I've got many more places I'd love to see. I'm hoping travel gets a bit easier in the coming months. I think all of us travelers feel that way! Take care!

Hey Kaden, I finished watching your channel today. Thank you for the “show-and-tell”! I enjoyed the mix of natural splendor and historical sites, as well as your video diaries and travel tips. Which places did you like the most? The only place I’ve been to is Iceland - one night in Reykjavík. My main destination on that trip was the Faroe Islands, hence my question yesterday. I’m looking forward to seeing and hearing about your next adventure. In the meantime, take care and stay safe!

Thanks, Herman. I appreciate it. It's very tough to say which of the places I've visited is my favorite. They are all so memorable. Iceland is definitely one of the more memorable. I'm looking forward to traveling again soon I hope. Like many people in the world. Stay safe out there!

hello do u recommend driving? thanks
@wordslikefire662
@wordslikefire662 3 года назад
Hi! Yes, absolutely. You can get around through other means of transportation. But in terms of seeing the most in your time frame, nothing beats the car. It's also not scary intimidating driving. Smaller roads and lanes, but all very well maintained and easy to get around, at least in summer and on the main roads. If you come in winter heavy time you'll probably still be fine, just stick to the main roads.

Hi Kayden. Thanks for sharing your videos. I especially liked your Everest Base Camp Trek video. I am interested in doing the same trek solo in October of 2019. If you still live in Lehi maybe we can meet up or talk over email if you are interested. I live in Murray, Utah. I would love to be able to sit down and ask you more about your trip.

Two questions (1) time of year ( 2) total cost pl reply !!!!
@wordslikefire662
@wordslikefire662 5 лет назад
I was there in July and loved it. It's never dark so you can explore a lot longer in the daylight. Although Winter is a great time to see the ice caves and September is the best chance to see the northern lights I believe. Cost can vary heavily depending on where you're coming from and what you are doing. Renting a car is relatively affordable but hotels are on the slightly expensive side. Still nothing outrageous, maybe the cost of food.
@zhenzhenzhang5051
@zhenzhenzhang5051 5 лет назад
Could you share your trekking plan?
@wordslikefire662
@wordslikefire662 5 лет назад
Do you mean for the Laugavegur trail? You'll have to arrange transportation to Landmannalaugar. You will start the trek there or in Thorsmark and then go to Landmannalaugar. You can't get to Landmannalaugar unless you have a special vehicle since you have to cross several rivers and you technically enter the Icelandic wilderness. I took a special bus from Reykjavik The full trek usually takes 4-5 days to complete, however you can do it much quicker if you have the daylight and fitness level. Just make sure to reserve a spot in one of the huts in advance if you don't plan to camp outside. These reservations go quickly. Unfortunately I didn't have enough time to do the whole trail. I went to Landmannalaugar and then explored in and around the area before heading out to other parts of Iceland. Hopefully this helps. Feel free to let me know if you have any more questions.

iceland or nepal which one is more beautiful
@wordslikefire662
@wordslikefire662 5 лет назад
Tough choice. It's hard to beat the natural beauty of Iceland. You see more diverse sites there (waterfalls, beaches, geysers, volcanos, etc). However The Himalayan mountains are the most majestic you'll find. If you want more variation then I say Iceland, if you're all about mountains then I say Nepal. The people, cultures, and sites are great either way so you can't go wrong. Why not do both?
