I liked the English and Japanese dubs. The English dub was pretty funny. Ichigo: I'd watch that smart mouth of yours! I've brought my flyslatter! Tart: What's a flyslatter? Oh yeah! Well I've brought cat nip! XD

@Axxidous 4Kids told me that in 2007 they lost airing rights as for the episodes they did have. A friend of mine e-mailed the English dub director and he said that the main reason why they stopped dubbing was due to not being able to have merchandise tie-ins for the show, thus making it not profitable. So I guess it wasn't worth it to the higher ups. As for the ages, Ichigo was 13 while Zoey was 16(Pudding went from 10 to 14). So yeah, they sounded older because they were older in English XD.

that was probably the worst dub out of all of them. seriously can't they just stick to the real stuff and quit it with the censoring and the changing.....4kids sucks ass.
@amal1341 The fans wanted the Danish dubbers to keep their Japanese names but because they only had the manga for reference(due to only having the MMP episodes), they accidently got Tart and Pie's names switched. They did the same with Moe and Miwa too.

@Axxidous The ages were never said out loud in the show. The only way to find them was to look at the 4Kids site when they had it up. When 4Kids first put up their MMP info, the ages were changed. Even the French and Austrailian DVDs have the changed ages and I have a Turkish info sheet from a magazine that had the changed ages as well.
I love the Korean and Serbian dubs. I love the voice acting in both. I know the lip flaps don't match in the Serbian, but the voice acting makes up for that in my opinion
@Samcatlover Sometimes the companies don't have the technology to completely wipe out the background noise without havign to write a full new soundtrack, so they turn the volume down as far as possible.
@Axxidous You said that you saw the English version and found out the ages. I was just saying that they were never said in the actual so, so there was no way you would've known for certain.
@1nijigirl2 That's not why they dubbed from the English version. There are 2 big reasons. 1: Dubbing from the English version is cheaper and 2: Most countries outside of Asia don't have a choice since once 4Kids gets the license for something, that usually means that they got the rights to distribute it to other Western countries. So the English version is the only one they can dub from.

@@ArielBBS2779 Sorry I didn't reply sooner. RU-vid didn't notify me. The missing dub is the one that aired on ATV. I only have a clip of episode 51 of that dub but there doesn't seem to be any full episodes online. There are some that seem to have an episode or two but I have no way of asking them.

Le seule doublage francais dans les Tokyo Mew Mew qui à été le mieux épargné c'est quand même Zakuro (Estelle) la voix de Taruto en français est horrible. Donc I'm sad too.
Wow! I love how the spanish dub is a direct translation of the english dub. And in the Mandarin version it sounded like Ichigo was saying scheissa (Sorry, don't know how to make that ss letter in german). Also Ichigo sounded like a grown woman in both Italian and Bulgarian???
@PPGandRRBfan i do agree, exept for a few of pai/sardon's lines: "it's an ancient system used on earth: rock paper scissors!" "we'll need a library card." and the fact that he has an obviously fake british accent makes almost anything he says sound hilarious to me.
When Ichigo said "your just a Kid" it reminded me so much of when Ukitake (from Bleach) said to Lillinete "Absoluteley not! You're just a kid!" when (SPOILER SPOILER) Aizen invades the fake Karakura town.
I actually understood the English (duh), Mandarin, Cantonese, and French. French and English is because it is my country's official languages and Mandarin and Cantonese because my parents speak it at home :P
@pebkie I'm not sure but I will be getting a translation of it soon when I start subbing the French episodes. But I do know that at the start of the scene Tart/Tarb said that he had Fish(in English he said Catnip).
It seemed like every one after the English all changed from a repetition to a speech and most of these don't even sound like kids or teenagers like they're supposed to.
@NyaMewCinnamon That's also something that other MMP dubs couldn't help. All they had was the English version and didn't have the Japanese version for reference, so they tried to make the voice as close to the English version as possible. The only dubs that I know that made Tarb voiced by a woman was the Croatian and Greek dubs(unfortunately, I don't have those yet XD).
@KoronofHearts Actually, they have plenty of VAs. They just tend to use the same ones due to their experience. But believe it or not, most of the Mew Mews themselved were played by people who were newbies at the time.
Oh wow! Thanks for explaining! It's like a lost cause to my childhood now! But even only 25 episodes... they kept showing them! Multiple times! I wonder if they still do show it.. thanks for replying :3
@MissTuliharja Well the other MMP dubs couldn't help it. They were only given the English script when they got it so they couldn't change it back to what the original Japanese said.
I feel like they were trying to hard with the mew mew power versions, turning it into a whole rant you know? It was nicer when it was much more simple and she was just calling him runt over and over again. :/

@MonkeeDog Also, I don't think they "lost" the rights cuz they did all the episodes (the first half I mean). They never gained the rights to the second half. Oh well. For most of the viewers who didn't see the original version or read the manga, especially the little kids who mostly just watched it as an everyday show, I don't think they cared much. XD I think the only ones who really care are the ones who are specifically really into anime and get down and deep into the subject. =P Like us. XD
Oh, yes. Italian is my second favorite language, my number one being Japanese. Italian and Japanese are the best voice-over languages, in my opinion. I do like others, though.
@ShotoNemar It wouldn't have been fair if I skipped languages that I had. It's not like a music multilanguage thing where I can just put parts of the dubs into one clip. In order to get the differences, you have to watch the full clips for all of them.
