I've come back to this video many times over the years. This is a great song. You can feel the emotion in the music. Just wanted to let you know that I am still listening a decade later
Man this made me tear up dude, the music is incredibly emotional and all I could think about was Dime just ripping where ever he is right now. Seeing all that gear he used was beautiful too, nice video man even though I’m 7 years late
@santinocrs I think you missed the point. I'm NOT trying to sound exactly like Dime. This is only a video of the rig I'm using in my Pantera tribute band. I have (and had) other musical projects, not only this Pantera tribute. Have a nice day! :)
It’s funny but every time I see Dime in these kinds of contexts I always tear up. This music is awesome by the way. Super amp collection too, Thanks for sharing
My son is 16 and I had ALL of his friends into Pantera 4-5 years ago. There are some pretty good guitar players among that bunch and they all play with the "I wonder if Dime would like this"attitude.I sure miss hearing him.I LOVE your video and your song is REALLY cool too!!
Is the song on RU-vid yet ? I want IT as a ringtone for my future wife she has problems sleeping and if i put your video on with this song IT works out and sleeps like a rose 😊 Thanks for that
very good,I started running a Randall RG100es in stereo with my 1982 white Anniversary Marshall ,it sounds huge! That was in 1987 and I still have those amps plus 22 more and 93 guitars and basses, with my Dime collection ,and I have to say the Washburn guitars are superior in playability and tone ,and looks ,the Dean Rebel is my favorite of that line, that guitar is a beast! keep up the good work and keep metal alive!
Awesome song, playing and sound...Full of emotion. I 've been revisiting it for some years..As far as your great collection I think Dimebag would be proud..and maybe ask you for one of those rare Randalls too haha! I hope you re doing well man, all the best from Greece!
beautiful collections, a dream for any fan of dimebag the best guitarist of all time, not a day goes by without me listening to the best band of all time. Pantera forever !!!
I know you're all about the Washburns. But,I've been looking for info on the Snakeskin Dean From the Trendkill era Dime had.Dean gives it to him in the Movie Pantera 3 "watch it go" I know they made a snakeskin stealth.but, not the one I'm talking about. The top on this one looks like Rattlesnake. Probably just one made solely for dime.if you have info I'd love to hear it.Thank you.👍🤘
wow man, what a beautiful song and badass guitar tone! first time I hear a true dimebag disciple, like myself. excellent grip! I really want to hear your CD when it's out, so I'm subscribbing. my english is not perfect, I'm from brazil. It would be nice if you could make a video explaining the how and why of dimebag guitar tone. Getcha' Pull! See you in hell!
one of the most beautiful tribute pages to Dime I have ever seen (even if that was never the intention). RIP Dime...gone but never forgotten and still inspiring millions.
I have been referring to this fuckin timeless jam for years. One of my favorites... TYR-cemetary gates... a good cover.. just thought id spread some good news. ...thank you for whom created this beautiful, soulfully inspired dime tune. I appreciate you brother
I came back here to this song not long after I heard about Vinnie's passing. To listen to a tune I never forgot but knew where to come because it's the closest melodic signature I've heard which characterizes their musical brotherhood. It makes me both sad and happy at the same time and you really can't appreciate life's spiritual elements more than that. RIP to the Abbot bros.
@@soundroi anytime man I'm listening to it now it's giving me chills bro, without me hopefully not sounding too cheesy myself. Great job mate, from the UK.
Come to "DISPLAY OF POWER", my PANTERA tribute band in Facebook and give us a like! Videos of our shows, photos, news... the only tribute to PANTERA, note-by-note.
Dean is a company whose only target is making money as all companies do... and they're making it with Dime's legacy for sure! I've told my opinion already about that. Thanks bro! :)
🤘R.I.P. Abbott brothers 🤘🇺🇸 Watching this brought some tears, till I thought about Vinnie Paul passing away and thinking about how close they were and that you know there jamming together right now.
so cool to see all his rigs.. i searched high and low for the song that is used on the video. even asked my friend in northern VA if he knew who it was.. He tells me its you.. wow. i really got the vibe i was hearing some lost Darrel.. you have a nice feel for his sound. Their are other players out here who enjoy hearing good music. Thanks for the song and video.
Yes, USA models of the dime-o-flames exist. He is playing one in Ohio when he was shot. Do you think he was rocking a stage with damageplan and a korean dean in his hands? No, USA deans are made at their custom woodshop IN THE USA. They have vids of it and you can tour it (which ive done).
Awesome collection. I always liked the limited edition Washburn's. Especially the southern cross. Im a dean guy though. Like many, dime is responsible for me picking up my first ml. Now I own six of them. The dean from hell is definitely in my top 3. Awesome guitar. Even though dime and Grady said the diamond plate Washburns sound like ass, I'd love to get one of those for my collection. I like my dean from hell for sure, but my favorite is a 35th anniversary ml with a trans Brazilia top, and a string through. I slapped some locking tuners and a bill Lawrence in it. I get better Pantera tones from it, than I do my dean from hell. 😂 Anyway. Cool song too man. It definitely had the vibe. 👌🤘
Soundroi....WELL DONE DUDE. Not only am I blown away by your gear and taste in Shredders a.k.a. The late GREAT DIME. In addition to all that your generall knowledge of how to rack what where is that of a real pro.....Only one thing Bro a friend of mine and I agree you should maybe have at least a usa ml or two...hahaha btw my friend is Elliot the owner of Dean guitars in clearwater fla. Thanx for the vid bro, Made my day
Thang for keeping brother dimes spirit alive man amassing song and beautiful washburns he's drinking a black tooth grin smiling down on u I and all of his fans friends and family what happened that day wad sick horrible and ruthless thank you man from one dime fan to another thank you for helping his memory live on R.I.P. Darrell lance Abbott
Awesome shit man. I always prefered the Washburn/Randall sound to the Dean/Krank sound. People seem to forget that for most of his career he used the Washburn/Randall setup and those warheads sound fucking killer!
Thanks alot for the awesome vid! You are very inspiring and you got the sound down to a tee! Dime would be proud. I send you a very big CHEERS from your Canadian brother!
I finally got hold of a USA 3ST my first high end washburn and it feels so good and plays just like butter, amazing guitar ... i am addicted to them now :D You've got a great rig too, your just missing and X2 then you'll be set.
@R3D4M4G3R Yes, I have one Dimeslime USA 1995, amazing guitar. It is true that Dimebag used the Dime-O-Flame, but in fact I think he played an authentic USA Dean WITH a Dime-o-flame finish. The Dime-O-Flame is a korean import model, I really doubt Dimebag himself would use that guitar and not a Custom USA instrument. By the way, Dean was his sponsort, but if you look at his guitar rig, he still carried the Stealth, the Dimeplate, the Dean From Hell and the Dimeslime with Damageplan:)
finally coming back to see this vid ! difference is now i finally have a dimebag razorback a randall head and a 2x12 randall cab -- never changing the rig no i see why dime always ride with randall
It doesn't matter if you have Dean or Washburn. Floyd Rose bridge and the right pickups are all you need (Seymour Duncan Dimebuckers bridge and DMT Dimetime are kicking)..
***** My Razorback has a mahagony body, so that's rather fine, Rosewood fingerboard, which is too and the balance is good. I never played a Washburn before, so I can't tell if they're better or not.
Washburn USA all the way! I'm a collector of USA washburn dimes. They are excellent instruments. I wish that company was able to carry on dimes legacy, the way it's meant to be!
The only reason why dime went with Washburn was because dean went out of business and he kept the razorback for 20 years and when dean came back so did dime if washburns are so good how come dime came back to Dean I love all the guitars he used by the way.
Hi Rebeca! Thank you so much. No external hardware in this video, here there are only amps and guitars. Concerning processors, there's no mistery, my friend: Furman PQ3 or PQ4 (which means any parametric EQ with the right settings), flanger unit (Blueface MXR or any other with the right settings) and some pre-ap EQ + booster. It's not complicated at all. I have all my processors and footswitches wired and rack mounted in a flight case, you can see pics in DISPLAY OF POWER Facebook.Thnks again :)
@Padreblue11 I got the Buddy Blaze ML and put a flipped XL500L and that thing blows my mind. The neck is a little too wide for my taste but it sounds great and surprisingly its my lightest guitar
nice collection. i got a lot of dime stuff too. you should try a randall X2, it was the last head randall and bruce egnater designed for darrell. it's dimebag in a box. no need for the eq's and such. the washburn usa stuff kills, but don't discount the usa dean custom shop stuff. bring that cover band of yours to arlington for the ride for dime!!
great video, loved the song, and accurate to an extent. your video doesnt cover his dean guitars, or his Krank amps. your fogetting his Dean Dime From Hell and his 1979 Dean ML (which are on display at the dean museum, i believe). Dimebag loved his Dean guitars, including his Krank amps, which inclued the Krankenstein Tube style amps with damageplan.
