I get to stage 2 during the dfu but it gives me an error wont go past this stage. Tried different sync cables and verified the target macbook with apple config. Any suggestion
Ok I’m assuming you erased the disk utility before proceeding with the installation of Mac OS Sonoma ok there is an easy fix to your problem, you need to do a DFU restore of the target 🎯 mac = the iCloud locked 1 using Apple Configurator 2 what that does is it updates the bridge OS once you have done that start from the beginning and proceed that will fix the installation error 👍
Once your in the device and the bypass is complete like I said in my video I would turn off automatic updates as your already on Sonoma @ that stage anyway.

I really am having an issue. i even have proof the mac is mine but i have an a2141 and it just continues to go in and out of dfu not completing the checkm8 process. my other mac is ancient usb only, my newer 13 pro im waiting on a new ribbon for the notorious keyboard/trackpad death. i do have an imac but it has a thunder port not c.. i have a thunder to usb c cord coming today. any ideas? is the imac not fast enough? it screams.. but anyway im so frustrated and start school the 15th and i need this macbook pro working.. i bought it let my ex use it and she said she'd give me the macbook back to let her share our dog.. she gets my 2,000 dog and then locks me out of the mac.. thats the least of what she did.. cost me 15 years and a business i built making 200k... lawyers are at work. but im screwed right now.. On my mac mini i bypassed if i unplugged it, even after doing a shutdown, it would need rebypassing. In guessing from now on once i do the bypass it will no longer need to be rebypassed, whether i hard reset or loose power. Will i be able to update macos (ie 14.4) without re bypassing though?
Does this new update completely delete iCloud? I bought it recently and the bypass was successful, but when I turn it on again by long pressing the power button, I continue to get the Activation locked error. My device is MacBook Pro 2019 16" İnch installed version: sonoma 14.4
It’s an untethered bypass but you don’t need to worry about the hard reboot anymore as this method fixes it and if you have already done the bypass using checkm8 then your good to go 👍
It won’t be stuck on apple logo it will give you an error code because internet 🛜 recovery fails sometimes like I said in the video if that happens do the bypass again and boot into Mac OS recovery make sure you use command option + R so it will show Sonoma

I honestly would just like to know how this works? This is obviously using the issue found in the T2 chips that allows you to Jailbreak them but how does the machine not get iCloud locked again when connected to a WiFi network? The serial number reports the machine as iCloud locked so surely when it connects back up to Apple's servers it does it all over again?!

Is yours still untethered because if it’s untethered it will update OTA no RE-LOCK but apple patched the untethered about 6 weeks ago so it’s back to tethered again so yours must be untethered 👍

Can I upgrade from Catalina? I couldn't restore Sonoma with my 2019 MacBook Air, I kept getting an error after it gets to 14 mins before restart. So I did with Catalina and everything works fine.
I think the OTA update is blocked you can give it a try, here’s the thing when getting persistent error codes on internet 🛜 recovery there’s an easy fix to it all you need to do is refresh the PRAM so @ the beginning press power command option P and R until the spinning globe shows that’s how you fix internet recovery errors.
Ok so checkm8 just got back to me and it’s still undergoing maintenance the dev team should resolve the issue soon the maintenance is due to a recent apple security update 👍
Hello, I have a iMac 5k 2020 I paid for the service and after the bypass step the iMac turns on by it self with a question mark folder and the Checkm8 software shows that is successfully bypassed.
When the bypass says successful on the target mac which in your case is an iMac 🖥️ using the keyboard press power command option + R it will go to the Mac OS recovery and install from there as I show you in the video 👍

That’s not related to the bypass the bypass is software related we’re as with sound audio could be the sound card as if you can hear the chime the speakers 🔊 are working fine

The start up disk I know do the bypass then press power command option + R let it go to recovery and proceed from there you probably just erased something inside intentionally or otherwise.
I bypassed it but my Mac is on macOS mojave from like 2018. Is there a way of updating it without having to do checkm8 again and if not then if I connect my MacBook to another one and restore it to latest update and then redo check mate will it work
You can try to update it OTA if it doesn’t work then yes re-bypass with checkm8 you can do that as many times as you want as your device is now added to there database 👍

Yes when you connect it in DFU mode open checkm8 and it will say the number for example 8.1/8.3/8.5 but the servers are still down I will let you know when there up and running.

The MacBook should already be on the latest Sonoma like I showed in the video command option + R in some cases OTA updates are blocked 🚫 so you cannot update from say Mojave or Catalina to Sonoma if you have done command + R and your on and older Mac 💻 OS I would advise you do the bypass again using command option + R thanks 👍

My 2019 MacBook pro has been bypassed but it could not install MacOS as it showed “cannot install MacOS try again”. I have done trough bypass process several times but it still show the same after I waited it install MacOS for 2 hrs. Do you have any recommendation?

Yes internet recovery can fail multiple times on some occasions you can get it right the 1st time the 3rd time sometimes the 20th time the best thing to do is reset the NVRAM press power then command + option P + R @ the same time for 20 seconds. Then start the internet recovery again using command option + R

2019 perfect 👌🏻 yes I know what the problem is so you need to update the bridge OS to do that download Apple Configurator 2 from the Mac App Store on your host Mac 💻 connect the USB C to USB C and do a DFU restore on the target Mac which is the iCloud locked Mac once the restore is done set it up by going to the activation lock screen and then connect to checkm8 and do the bypass if the exploit fails 1st time it will work the second time. I get the success in Check M8, I press the power button on the iMac, It boots, I connect my wifi / ethernet, Recovery mode, Erase disk, reinstall, and after the reinstall I get the activation lock screen again. @TheCavalry98 that’s correct you have done everything fine there was a patch from Apple no surprise there huh since I made this video so after you have done every thing correct which you have after the installation and you get to the activation Lock Screen that’s when you connect it back to your host Mac open the checkm8 T2 bypass it and then on your locked Mac / Target Mac press power you will then go through the setup done 👍 Bloody Apple ayy 😠 can’t help themselves can they anyway that’s all you need to do 👍

No it use to be untethered but apple patched it as long as you don’t power it off by pressing the power key if you just select the apple logo top 🔝 left and select shutdown it will prevent this from happening also try not to let the battery 🪫 die other than that your good to go 👍

Stage 2 do you get the red line exploit failed or yellow line exploit failed. It keeps happening and you have tried the DFU more than 3 times do a full restore using Apple Configurator 2 that will bring your Mac 💻 to the latest bridge OS 8.4 that should fix it if it doesn’t be sure to contact checkm8 support 👍

Thats what i did, as the tutorial says, the thing is that after a while installing the operative system (minute 12:16) it doesnt appear the screen that it shows at minute 12:27. Instead it shows the activation lock back.

It means the people who done the bypass when it was untethered and there devices have re-locked due to erasing the device can just connect and bypass and for them it will be untethered like mine for example, but if it’s the 1st time you’re doing the bypass from yesterday when checkm8 released it then you can only use it as a tethered bypass only see what I mean 👍
