You do a good job with the ICM photography. I liked 1 and 4. The bird image is framed really nicely and I liked the soft look with the boat and the water. I also liked the first image with the lighthouse and the water against the rocks. Nice work!
It intrigues me to see how some people 'get' ICM photography and many dont (even photographers). And those that do often seem to excite about similar aspects of the technique 🤔😊 I wonder, if that tower 2:17 would make a good subject for a Pep Ventosa style image? I like your nice, relaxed approach to getting your shots; along with your images. I love the shot of the egret 👍🏻
I watched a few of your videos and liked them very much, and learned a lot about ICM photography. For the most part, I like your B&W images, but some of the colored ones are nice too. I think it was this video that had a B&W image that was very abstract. I would have voted for that one as my favorite. The more abstract the better, for my taste. I don't get around very well anymore so let me ask a dumb question that I can't try myself. Does your camera have a manual focus option? Have you tried using manual focus to make the images even more blurry and then use the ICM technique? I might make them more abstract. Thanks again.
Thanks for watching my videos and the encouraging feedback! Yes I have used the manual focus to be out of focus but mostly out of laziness instead of intentional. There’s been times where I don’t even bother to focus on the subject since I’ll be shaking the camera anyway. But I haven’t tried to compare a focused vs not focused photo, that would be an interesting experiment. I might try that sometime. Thanks!
Thanks, I have a playlist of other ICM videos where I explain it. If you’re interested, this one was one of my first tries explaining it. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE--5yDXbnA19o.html
I really like number 3. It suits the square crop you used beautifully. I thought the zoomed out of the man with his bike was great and looked so good in mono. It looks as though the highlights are close to getting blown. Is that something you stress about? I like the way your images look with very light whites but when I try ICM I have tried to prevent that but after watching you do this I think I'll stop being so concerned about it. Thank you for your video.
