ICOM IC-271, IC-471,IC-1271 Frequency STEP Modification
Simple mod to convert Frequency step from 5KHz to 12.5KHz
leave D19 in place and move D20 to D21 space.

SETTINGS STEP FM FREQUENCY FOR
ICOM IC-271 / IC-471 / IC-1271
Select-matrix are on the LOGIC Unit
From the IC6 PIN11 are comon connection matrix
diodes Anode( 1N4148 or similar ) to IC12 PIN 3,4,7,8 Cathode
Step Diodes instaled

10.Hz Without any diodes
100.Hz D20
1.Khz D19
5.Khz D19 and D20
10.Khz D21
12.5Khz D19 and D21
25.Khz D21a - ( sometimes marked as D34 )
1.Mhz D21 and D21a -( sometimes marked as D34 )
D21a / sometimes marked D34 only used in IC-471 / IC-1271

Not sure if you realise but you have the Mutek front end :-) Many thanks for the info on the diode. I am just resurrecting my "271" after many years idle.

Hi friend, can you help me my icom 271 can received 143.44mhz to 153.99mhz but the transmit is only in this frequency 144-146mhz how can this transmit upper and lower of this frequency?

Hi, quick look at the manual and the only thing I can find The manual states the frequency coverage:U.S.A version cover's 143.8 to 148.2MHz, European version 144 to 146MHz, Australian version 144 to 148MHz A no-backlash dial controls By Icoms unique rotary encoder circuit. The band edge detector and endless system provides out of band protection.
