Straight from the manual, these are two features that I use frequently. Configuring your radio to display your callsign allows you to keep track of your radio at field day, and is useful to recover a stolen rig. Power button screen capture is a feature that I use to make images for posting to social media, or incorporating into training videos.

Great video, I already did this, but you’re video is very clear and intelligently articulated, I will sub you if you promise to add more video tutorials on the radio, it’s quite a fun capable radio. I just picked mine up three days ago, with the give aways and the 100$ rebate, it was a good call. I actually enjoy using this more than my Yaesu ftdx5000 believe it or not. The 7610 looks like it’s not going to be around till March, so no need waiting for that... 73.

+Markinpuff I will be adding more tutorials for this radio soon, and the 9700, once it is released. We've had some medical issues in my wife's family, and I am.finishing some college classes, so I have been posting easier to produce content, like teardowns, but I will get back to tutorials soon. Hey, thanks a lot for your videos! Can't wait for the 9700 and the series about it. You covered a ton of tiny things about 7300 that many people tend to skip. Another thing is that you made a ton of short videos. Video, unlike text, is not easily searchable. With your clear titles and short videos, you make it possible for viewers to quickly find what they're looking for! Once again, thanks!

I want to Menu, Set, but then I have no Function. I've only got three options in when I click on the Information auction is then Version it shows that I have main CPU 1.30, front CPU 1.01, DSP program 1.07, DSP date 1.00, FPGA 1.13. I'm legally blind and I just got my IC 7300 2 days ago from GigaParts. Is it possible I need to do a firmware update or something like that to see the options you were talking about for the screenshot? I've noticed a few things that don't seem to be showing on my screen but I've seen in RU-vid videos. Thanks for any help if you can provided it!

It sounds like you might have been in the wrong menu. (There is an update now to CPU 1.42 but not relevant to your question) First, press the menu button, then on the right side of the menu go up to Function. In the top right of the screen you should have a 1/8 2/8 ... 7/8 8/8 counter. You will want to be on the 7th screen of 8. "Screen Capture [POWER] SW" should be here, set it to on and you should be all set. I just went through the same thing as you a few minutes ago. :-) 73 - KC1OCA

New to HAM...just got MFJ-929 auto antenna tuner. To setup properly do I go to RTTY and turn RF to 10 Watts and Key/tune on all the bands to have tuner function? I initially tried to tune the different bands on 50 Watts, including USB and tuner stayed blank. I guess I should have read instructions first.

Do you have the correct interface cable for your radio, or are you using it in RF sensing mode?
