I should have my own ICOM 7600 withing a week & am looking forward to the upgrade from my ICOM 756 PRO II which had the dreaded display screen failure.I have watched several videos of the firmware update & it looks as if it has made some wonderful improvements from the original firmware in the 7600 & a HUGE improvement over my former 756 PRO II & I'm sure the 7600 will work great with my ICOM PW-1 amplifier for many many years.Thanks for sharing the video & information & Good DX. de W4KVW {:>)
1OFGODSOWN Hi you have a lot to play with once you get the radio back and do the upgrade, It's nice to see we are getting some of the added things the 7700 and the 7800 having on the Spectrum Scope now, It will work very well with your Icom PW-1 also enjoy playing with the radio when you get it. ***** Well the NEW ICOM 7600 arrived on Monday(6/8/15) & as soon as I unpacked it I did the firmware update before even making a contact.Played with it until last night(Wednesday 6/10/15)& then connected the ICOM PW-1 & set the ALC on it & the setup is kicking butt just as I suspected that it would.Thanks again & Good DX de W4KVW

***** Well my own ICOM 7600 arrived last Monday(6/8/15) & I have it connected to my ICOM PW-1 amplifier with the V.2.0 firmware update installed.It is an AWESOME transceiver for sure!Making a contact would not be an issue I'm sure. de W4KVW
Can you help me please: my 7600 connot find the 7600_ 200 version, which i put from the icom page, after downloading on the usb stick. the update version ist on the usb stick but my TRX cannot find it in the directory?? Heinz
+Heinz Funk Hi what you want to do first is format the usb stick on the IC 7600 then put the file on the usb stick from your PC and then do the update it will work then.
