Nice job on all these topics. I have this unit. Also the very old IC-R1. I love the quality of them. This is a great resource for the R20. Thanks for the effort!
Hi and hoping you can help? Years ago, I had a realistic pro 2006 and I could put in two frequencies and it would search between the two of them looping around. I want to do this with my R20 radio I have bought but I can’t find anything on how to do this??? I can get it to start searching, but it just keeps going and going for ages. I want it to search between to numbers I put in and not the whole range of the scanner. Is this possible and if so, could you explain it, or do a video on how to do it. Many thanks
Can it be used as an effective police scanner?? Is it capable of trunking and can it employ the use of GPS for the purpose of scanning the local emergency frequencies?
Maybe you had a problem with the one you had....mine is very sensitive to almost all frequency range... it tends to drop above about 2.5 Ghz... depends on what you want to listen to.. 73's
Well, this is what I found on a spanish forum: Signal generator RF Marconi 2022C recently calibrated. 200,000 Mhz = -113dBm = -6dBu = 0,5uV 225,000 " = -113dBm = -6dBu = 0,5uV 250,000 " = -106dBm = +1dBu = 1,121uV 275,000 " = -91dBm = +16dBu = 6,30uV 299,995 " = -73dBm = +34dBu = 50,1uV Looks like some older models (that post dated back to 2009) were as deaf as fence posts at UHF mil bands. 73s
I think these models where made in 2005 ? but has continue making them exact one. Unless there are more features been added now then when they first invented this one years ago.
No truking on this radio ... this is not a scanner .. but a communications receiver ... so does not serve the same purpose as a scanner. if you local police is not trunked... yes it will scan the police channels very well ...
