Very informative; just picked one up used in immaculate condition, still had the plastic protector. I ordered the soft case online to reduce wear, these radio's are so hard to find because Icom stopped making the R20'S some time ago. Reading the manual is helpful but your video's make it far easier to understand, "Excellent Demonstration"
IC-R20 & AOR 8200 MKIII are both just as good as each other both top of the range, any scanner is good dependant on what you want to monitor, i monitor Military airband 24-7 pretty much and so i'd use either, also depends on how much cash you have, Uniden Bearcat 3500xlt is a great scanner too for beginners, before stepping upto the IC-R20 or MK III.
Question. Can we have R20 scan between pre-set frequencies? For example, if I want to scan the entire range between 800 MHZ and 900 MHZ. Can this be done?
Thanks very much, for your videos,I have just purchased the ICR20 and I agree a very difficult manual. Unless I have missed it I still can not understand how to programme frequencies in to the scanning memory ie; Channel 000 channel 001 002 etc. as I am used to doing with other scanners
Hi and hoping you can help? Years ago, I had a realistic pro 2006 and I could put in two frequencies and it would search between the two of them looping around. I want to do this with my R20 radio I have bought but I can’t find anything on how to do this??? I can get it to start searching, but it just keeps going and going for ages. I want it to search between to numbers I put in and not the whole range of the scanner. Is this possible and if so, could you explain it, or do a video on how to do it. Many thanks
Your video was great for basic functionality. However can you pleas e make a video on ho to enter frequencies in a scan bank so my r20 only scans through the frequencies I have designated. Thanks again I and I have subscribed. Thanks
I have just received an IC R6 scanner but find the manual very complicated to understand. There isn't any good online tutorial about the R6 scanner, so I thought this video might be helpful. not too sure it helped me. I don't suppose you know anything about the R6
I have both of them and love them both. In my humble opinion, they are both about the same performance wise. You'll have to do some studying though. Read the manuals thoroughly and watch these fine videos to learn basic and advanced operation.
