I had one of these as my first radio when I got my licence. Bought second hand. I still have it. Must get it out and have a play.

A very tidy classic with bloomin' good ears. nice to see one in such good condition. last 290AI saw was beat up from being dragged about /Portable for years, still worked well tho.. :-)

I got one i got it back in the mid 90's i had the vehicle quick release bracket for under the dash fitment lovely for home QTH on the desk in the shack its just an all round good rig it unfortunately is now no longer working but maybe one day someone will fix it ...from mic whisky five uniform foxtrot Oscar
