You are really changing my mind about Siths, guess I will join the dark side of the force now! Thank you so much for the dynamic and entertaining discussions doc!
Hello! Really wonderful series. I have 2 doubts- 1. Is whitening always preferred first before resin infiltration? 2. It was mentioned that whitening shrinks the white spot lesion, what's the mechanism of that?
thanks! 1. Yes - absolutely, always. 2. I was under the impression that by increasing the value of the rest of the tooth, it makes it less apparent. I am happy to be corrected on this
@@protrusive hello! i have a few concerns- won't whitening worsen demineralized teeth? also is it wise to get resin infiltration done for demineralized teeth instead of fillings before getting braces? thank you in advance!
@Cadis Raizel once you understand the science behind whitening (3 second summary: it breaks down pigments) you will see that's its the safest cosmetic procedure in the world. In terms if sequencing, I would get braces first because that increases your risk of white spots so may as well deal with it at the end
@Jaz Gulati - Protrusive Dental Podcast thank you very much for the answer! I really appreciate it! This is because I asked my dentist if I could get a teeth whitening done but he won't let me because I have some white spots and he insists to fill them (demineralized parts of my teeth, which havent resulted in decay yet). I'll ask him again, ill also ask him if there are other ways to save the demineralized parts of my teeth without having to fill them. As for the braces, as much as I would like to do the braces first, I have a very very very yellow teeth which makes me really insecure so I really would like to whiten first. Thank you!
